Yea I have heard the Tomlin Steelers thing and far enough back that I don't think it was lying season talk. If they like him they have to take him #21 right, cos they have no 2nd rounder?

Yea like any QB draft situation if he is the guy you want you have to take him. Can't risk trading down and losing him.

I honestly cant see how he gets to 30.  He could go as high as 9 to the Saints then he still has to get past the Steelers and Rams if he gets to the 2nd half of the first.  I would be pretty surprised to see him on the board at 30 IMHO.

This makes all too much sense. It would allow them to take an OL'man early and then still get their guy if they aren't sold on Sanders. The connections, being right at the back end of the 1st, I think we end up making this trade on Day 1. That swap would likely net us 34 and 99. I would be alright with that.

I Think Sanders has a better shot to be there at 30, than Dart does

Do you give any weight to the potential circus that comes with taking Sanders? Or are you evaluating on skill alone?

I think Sanders will have to be in the right system. A timing based, West Coast type of system. His average arm strength will get exposed in the NFL. I think Dart has more upside tbh. They will just have to reel in his decision making.

I am evaluating just on the tape. His dad is only an issue if you let him be IMO.

But doesn't this happen almost year in and year out? We get to the off season and after all the games are played the whispers start and suddenly group think pushes some QB way up the board and rumors that others are dropping fast.

 

Remember, Ryan Nassib and Matt Barkley were near "locks" to go 1st round at some point that off season. Will Levis and Malik Willis "shot up boards" late the year they were ultimately picked much lower. 

 

I think ultimately on draft night the pieces will fall closer to how they were before the whispers and lies season started. Ward->Sanders->Milroe/Dart

 

To me the biggest question is who is QB3 off the board and when?

 

If a team want a more finished product they will go Dart. If a team is willing to take a project with potential for an extremely high upside they go Milroe. That all going to be team specific IMO.

Oh I agree, I think some team will go for the more physically gifted, less daddy issue (not saying Sanders necessarily needs Deion, more the other way around) Dart over Sanders and the world will act shocked
