Possible death? Lack of arm strength making a fumble when hit by a charging linebacker a likelihood and not just a possibility? If by "little person," Leach was referring to someone like Tyrion Lannister.

If you're only talking about smaller NFL-sized guys like Codrington, it's still not all that easy to throw 185 pounds three yards high to get over the line and three yards forward to make the first down, all in about two seconds. And man that guy would be open to some absolutely vicious shots on the way down.

Is everyone forgetting the 80s Bears goal-line MO with Sweetness?

Go refresh your memories with the impressive insanity of a HOF RB launching himself over and also directly into head-on car crashes like some kind of residual 19th C trench warfare.

Tush push. Totally legal. Like honestly, what’s the debate?

When did overtly pushing a ball carrier become legal?

I'm remembering the uproar following that Reggie Bush push conversion (ND vs USC). The play was technically illegal at the time. Was that not also true in the NFL? Rugby "ruck" strategies were not meant to be part of the league, until they were. When did that change?

And Robb Riddick for the Bills. He racked up a career high 15 TD's in 88' doing a lot of jumping over the pile.

Well, probably because it's already illegal to do that.

"No offensive player may: (a) pull a runner in any direction at any time; or (b) use interlocking interference, by grasping a teammate or by using his hands or arms to encircle the body of a teammate; or (c) trip an opponent; or (d) push or throw his body against a teammate to aid him in an attempt to obstruct an opponent or to recover a loose ball."

Rule 12, Section 1, Article 4,

That's a shame because I was looking forward to the first ever player to be drafted from a circus or pantomime.

I cant hip bump a lineman beside me to help them gain horizontal leverage?  That feels off.  Thanks for the reference though.

I would look forward to the spikes at the net.

After the first couple of times Spencer causes the ball carrier a concussion to their entire being, the play will be made illegal.

They were talking about this on local radio the other day and said that prior to 2005 it was illegal. They made it legal because it was too difficult to officiate. If true it took around 20 years for teams to exploit the rule. This article backs up what I heard on the radio:

"Allen takes the snap, hand off to Warwick Davis, wait Allen just picked him up and hucked that little bastard 30 yards, caught by Knox. Davis hops on Knox's back like Yoda on Luke in Dagobah...20...10...5...TD!!!!!"

"Hold on Tony, late flag. Looks like illegal formation on Buffalo."
