Virgil Posted Wednesday at 06:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:33 PM With the draft a week away, and the two consensus needs on this team being a DB who can start on the outside, and a big bodied DT to stuff the run, as well as push the middle alongside Ed, I'm curious to see who you all think fit that mold? I'm fully aware the draft is a crap shoot and there's plenty of defensive stars drafted every year outside of the first round. In this draft, we know the defensive line depth is strong, while there's a huge drop off at DB after the first few guys. With all of that being said, who are those DT's that you think can push us over the hump in the playoffs and ruin Mahomes' day? Quote
Gregg Posted Wednesday at 06:40 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:40 PM Abdul Carter - Penn State Mason Graham - Michigan James Pearce Jr - Tennessee To name a few. Here in NJ the media has been reporting the Giants are very interested in Carter. I doubt any of these players fall all the way to the Bills but one can hope. 2 Quote

They won't fall to Buffalo, but for the next TBD mock, Buffalo is trading up (though not sure how far), so we need to gather data. Edited Wednesday at 06:54 PM by chongli 2 Quote
DJB Posted Wednesday at 06:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:57 PM Harmon. Been saying it all offseason long. Hes a difference maker in the middle . 4 Quote
Mat68 Posted Wednesday at 07:31 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:31 PM Stewart. Had 2 sacks but something like 37 Qb hurries. Might slide due to production but he is an f the play up type. Quote

They let Olujari walk when he wouldn't have broke the bank and then the QB thing. I could see them going Kyle McCord in rd. 2 or on the Arch Manning train maybe. 1 Quote

Texas games will be interesting to watch this upcoming season now that Manning is the starter. 1 Quote
Rigotz Posted Wednesday at 08:00 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:00 PM I think the best bang for your buck comes from 1-Tech DT with pass rushing skills. That would be Harmon or Grant and we potentially have a shot at one of them. The other "game wreckers" are probably Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, and Jalen Walker .... maybe Shemar Stewart. We don't have a legitimate chance at any of them unless we trade away too much. Some people are high on Mike Green (small bendy rusher), Mykel Williams (raw with bad production), and Walter Nolen (3-tech), but I don't like the fit. To answer the question is: Harmon and Grant because they fit a need and will make everyone around them better. No other true "game wreckers" in range at 30. 2 3 Quote
Trust The Process Posted Wednesday at 08:13 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:13 PM This is my list of DL/EDGE RUSHERS that I’d like for the Bills to realistically draft in the rounds they’re projected to be drafted by DEFENSIVE ENDS: 24 Mike Green: Trade Up if in the 20’s James Pearce Jr: late 1 Donovan Ezeiruaku: late 1 Nic Scourton: 1-2 Princely Umanmielen: 2 Kyle Kennard: 2-3 Jack Sawyer: 2-3 Landon Jackson: 2-3 JT Tuimoloau: 2-3 Bradyn Swinson: 2-3 Josaiah Stewart: 2-3 Jordan Burch: 3 Ashton Gillotte: 3 Oluwafemi Oladejo: 3 David Walker: HYBRID DE/LB 4 David Bailey: HYBRID DE/LB 4 Barryn Sorrell: HYBRID DE/LB 4-5 Elijah Roberts: 5 Antwaun Powell-Ryland: 5-6 Kaimon Rucker: HYBRID DE/LB 5-6 Jah Joyner: 5-6 Ahmed Hassanein: 6-7 Fadil Diggs: 7 David Vann: DE/DT3T 7-UDFA. Former state wrestling champ. Is a leader & locker room guy. McD type guy. DEFENSIVE TACKLES: 12 Kenneth Grant: late 1 Alfred Collins: late 2 Deone Walker: late 2 Darius Alexander: 3 Jordan Phillips: 3-4 Ty Robinson: 4-5 Vernon Broughton: DT/DE 5 Jamaree Caldwell: 5 CJ West: 5-6 JJ Pegues: 6 Zeke Biggers:7-UDFA Thor Griffith: 7-UDFA TOTAL PLAYERS: 36 1 Quote
frostbitmic Posted Wednesday at 08:58 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:58 PM I think Grant would be awesome here helping shore up the run Defense and taking up blockers, making it easier for Oliver, Groot and Bosa (sounds weird saying that) get after the QB. He's been at the top of my list for awhile. Saying all that and going by the Mock Drafts here, we might be best off taking a CB in the first,(Revel, Amos) the best ones are all gone before our first 2nd round pick. Then maybe manage getting Collins or Walker in the 2nd round. I think 1T and CB are our first two picks, in whichever way. Don't be surprised to see a familiar face back at CB. 1 Quote

Richard Noggin Posted Thursday at 02:24 AM Posted Thursday at 02:24 AM Can we agree that Mike Green is probably OFF the Bills board due to character concerns? I'll bet they LOVE Donovan Ezeiraku and Landon Jackson and Derrick Harmon and Joshua Farmer and Jamaree Caldwell. (Not some hot take, obviously.) Something fits about those particular prospects/visits and this current organization. Oh and J.T. Tuiamolau. Quote
Thurman#1 Posted Thursday at 05:27 AM Posted Thursday at 05:27 AM Haven't watched anywhere near enough tape but if Ezeiruaku falls, I'm hoping they think he's a game wrecker. Quote
