James Bradberry visits Bills

Right now we don't have a proven CB2, and Hamlin, Rapp & Bishop at S don't exactly scare any OC in the league. Bradberry had a bad 2023 before he got hurt [Passer rating allowed of 108].  McD is a supposed secondary whisperer so it will be interesting to see how he solves this.  Not great when your HC is a defensive mastermind and Bills have to put up 4 TD's every week to win games.

Eh I think if he’s super cheap it’s worth doing. You get a veteran voice in the room to mentor Amos/Hairston or whoever they draft in the first round. Dude has been to Super Bowls. It’s a very young DB room. Plus you get a contingency plan as a very experienced backup and you create smoke a smokescreen that your biggest hole on the roster is filled.

Mystified that they would show an interest in Bradberry before Tre White.

 

Last we saw Tre he was being shoved down by Keon on a horrible DPI call that gave us a TD in the divisional round. And of course after shoving Tre down, Keon forgot about the football and let it fly through his catch radius without a reaction.

 

I believe Tre can play and it would make a nice story to boot.

I find it very funny on this board when a player is 32 like Bradberry he's no Spring Chicken.

 

I know it's just fan talk, but damn, many of us here probably have 20, 30, 40 years on that  "old" chicken 😀

I tore my achilles like 3 years ago and still not fully recovered and will probably never be the same. I am the definition of washed. I wish I was in the shape Bradberry is.

What do you think.  He's no spring chicken, but has had a nice career, most recently with the Philadelphia Eagles.  He's a bigger cornerback at 6'1"  and 210 lbs.  No burner, but fast enough, running a 4.5 40 coming out of college.  The fly in the ointment:  He tore his achilles in August last year, which is why he missed the 2025 season.  In September, he'll be just one year removed from what is one of the most devastating injuries a football player can have and cornerback is probably the position at which a torn achilles is the most difficult to deal with since he will have to make sharp cuts to stay with receivers.  The fact that he's visiting suggests he thinks he'll be able to come back this year.   If the Bills think he has a chance, they could probably sign him to a one year prove it deal that does not have much guaranteed money.  What do you think?

Yes, a lot of you are old.  What makes us fans and not players is that we just can't play in the NFL, much like a lot of 32 year old men that used to play in the NFL.

Actually, I have more than fifty years on Bradberry, and yes, I said, "He's no spring chicken."  You're right, I was nowhere near fit to play in the NFL even 50 years ago.
