I was really not impressed with Caleb last season. he had stretches where he was refusing to throw the ball. I hate that in young QBs, imo it’s much better for them to throw it all over and make mistakes to learn from than be afraid to make mistakes.

Now he had garbage coaching so who knows.

But I agree that Drake’s stock is up. I think if the Bears called the Pats and offered a swap, they wouldn’t consider it.

Bo Nix is a better athlete and has a better arm, but his rookie year gave me Mac Jones’ rookie year in NE vibes.

Nix is wayyyyyy better than McCorkle and its not close

He also has far better coaching

I’m not saying he’s not better. But I’m saying that may be the peak of what he’s got.

i was a notorious Bo Nix hater pre draft though

The coaching is a key part.

New England put on a clinic of how NOT to develop a young QB. They put a really bad WR core around him. A bad OL. And then hired a mediocre DC as his OC and a ST coach as his QB coach. Not saying he would have been a great player but man they did NOT do him any favors in his development.

Nix is a perfect fit for Sean Paytons offense. They have a couple decent weapons in Sutton and Mims. I think he's gonna be ok.

Williams had the same problem his last year at USC…holding onto the ball forever. I think it’s a processing problem, and I definitely would not have drafted him first overall.

Williams can't win with those who dislike him for reasons that have nothing to do with football. He had a historically good rookie season with 3,500 passing yards, 20/6 TDs/INTs, and 500 rushing yards.  It's likely one of the top 5 rookie QB seasons of all time.

Just to put his season into perspective, he has the most combined yards of any Bears QB in history and the second best TD/INT ratio.  Eric Kramer had one great season out of nowhere in 1995. After that, Williams just had the second best season at QB in the 106 year history of the team.
