BringBackFergy Posted Monday at 10:12 PM Posted Monday at 10:12 PM Fergy’s Draft Analysis (2025) * If Beane trades down, he will. But (keep in mind) he could trade up or possibly stay put. So there’s that. * No matter if he stays put or moves, our first pick will be defense (possibly offense depending what’s on the board). Look for a player who attended a D1 school with a motor. Above average cone drill and broad jump (or vertical). That’s where we make draft impact. * 2nd pick will definitely be offense because we need some help moving the ball faster. But if it’s a defensive player, I’m predicting that too. Why? Because you can always use a high motor kid that loves the game. That’s where we find those players. Also, look for a players with hips, tibias and ulnas. Long limbs and a fella with stats. 3rd pick. May be a trade down, or maybe collect lower picks and trade up for a higher pick. Beane will look for a good player without defective limbs. Possibly someone with 9 fingers but most likely 10 and at least 9 toes. Probably someone from the eastern shore to Texas. Can’t say for sure but I like the players that have played in warm weather but exposed to some cool weather and precipitation (PAC 10 and Big 10 also). Thoughts? 2 19 5 Quote

Low Positive Posted Monday at 11:01 PM Posted Monday at 11:01 PM I just want players who can go out there and execute the game plan. Strong with the fundimentals with a high work ethic. I want a bunch of gym rats with high football IQs. Lunchpail, blue collar type guys. I want players with grit who eat, sleep, and poop football. Quote
Mike in Horseheads Posted Monday at 11:23 PM Posted Monday at 11:23 PM BBF great preface to the draft as usual. Umm... we don't have a 3rd round pick Quote

Mister Defense Posted yesterday at 12:15 AM Posted yesterday at 12:15 AM You nailed it! Very funny. Bored and frustrated listening to various podcasts and broadcasters saying the most inane and repetitive things related to the draft. And some are doing it every day for long periods of time. Today I was listening to a Bills podcast and one guy was clearly just reading what others have said about the player. He did not elaborate on most of it and I kept thinking he too did not even know what some of it meant. He liked the phrase "violent hands" and said that several times, for example. I laughed. I tried to visualize that, the implications. Later in the podcast he said the ideas he expressed were mostly the thoughts of others. Duh. This was the first post I read tonight. Thank you! 1 Quote

BigAl2526 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago If Beane trades up in round 1, it will be by no more than a few spots, probably less than 5. Likewise, I don't think he would trade down too far. no more than 10 spots. I agree that his first pick is highly likely to be on defense. The only way he drafts offense with the first pick (WR) is if all the defensive picks he could justify in the first round are gone and he can't find a trading partner to go down a few spots. I don't think Beane would have any qualms about picking a receiver at #56 if that's where the value is. I don't think a trade down from #62 is especially likely, but it's not impossible. 1 Quote
