Which past receiver would you pick whose skill set this team needs most.

It’s Lee Evan’s. Diggs already showed us what a Moulds/Reed style WR could do with Allen. Not to imply they’re the same. But bigger body types. All around great athletes. Polished. I don’t see any of the three bringing something massively different. High end number 1 style play is what all three would bring.

 

What we have never seen with Allen is a WR he can’t over throw. Evan’s was probably the only one in my lifetime who played here I felt that way about. Maybe Lofton as well, but he was a bit more aged by the time he came here. For the type of guy we saw while they played here, it’s Evan’s. Moulds would be second (my opinion).

Prime Moulds would makes this a dam near unstoppable offense. Moulds would open up everything with his ability to work the mid-range game and the deep ball. He was nearly a prototypical outside WR1 and that's with mid-level QB play at best. He wasn't a massive burner but he had enough speed to get open down the field and get over the top of average speed DB's. He was such a technician with route running. Moulds was putting up 1200-1300 yard seasons somewhat consistently with Doug Flutie, Rob Johnson, and a slightly past his prime Bledsoe. 

 

Give Josh Moulds on the outside, Palmer/Keon on the other side and Shakir in the slot and watch Josh cook.

I hear what you are saying. But I do think Moulds is a more physical WR than Diggs. Moulds was 2 inches taller and 35 pounds heavier than Diggs with comparable good but not great speed. That's in addition to both players being master route runners with very strong hands. I think Moulds being just a somewhat bigger version of Diggs would take that elite production Diggs was giving and make it even more consistent esp in bigger playoff games where the games tend to be more physical.

That being said Moulds is the answer.  
 

Evan’s would be my 2nd choice who would just go off with Allen.

BUT if I am looking at those receivers in their prime despite the team they were on I think Lofton in GB/Buffalo skipping the Raiders and TO pre Bills are the only real choices. Reed and Moulds to me would be the best in their Prime in Buffalo

In theory they are the same but in practice Beasley was a different player. Maybe it was because Allen was younger and greener as a QB when Beasley played, but he seemed to be Allen's break-glass-in-case-of-emergency guy. A WR you could count on to extend a drive.

So I am fine with the Beasley Shakir comparison as a possession guy, but I dont think there is any real argument that Shakir is way past Bease RAC especailly at the end of his career.

I don't know.  I haven't been there.  But just because some player is far from angelic off the field doesn't mean he can't be a good teammate and doesn't share some good cultural values with the other players.  

 

From what I've read, Reid likes players who communicate openly and honestly, take practice seriously, know their role, execute on game day, respect their teammates, give maximal effort, hold themselves accountable for the football mistakes they make, and so on.  That's the culture he promotes and a murderer can do all that.  We may not like or respect Reid giving homes to guys with off-the-field issues, but to say Reid isn't doing things to build a winning football culture or doesn't consider culture fit is wrong.

you are a regular here--this place constantly woofs on KC as a place for miscreants, criminals and addicts--yet this "culture" (presumably the opposite of the Bills) only produces AFCC and SBs.

 

Are you saying that ANY culture (lawless or straight laced) is all that matters? That doesn't seem to make sense, but if true, wouldn't the Bills be better off adapting a "bad boy"/criminals in the off-season culture such as in KC?  The one the Bills put forth seems to get axed by the Chiefs culture every year when it counts...

For a few years Moulds was an absolute beast.  Paired with Allen would be great to watch.  Those scrambles with Moulds down field would be electric .
