I bet Ravens fans think we are overvaluing Lee Evans.  😂

I used to think that Bills fans overvalued Evans, but his first five years in Buffalo were pretty darn good. He has 6,000 yards (3rd in Bills history) and 43 TDs (also 3rd) with the Bills.

I was actually thinking of his drop in the end zone that may have prevented them from going to the Super Bowl. Looking at it now, the DB did get his hand on the ball, but that needs to be a TD.

Ok, from the list above,

Who is the receiver that is the fastest (4.4 speed), has leaping ability to outjump smaller CBs ?

And has long arms to assist in the leaping ability to improve chances of outjumping smaller CBs and coming down with contested catches.

We need a receiver faster than Coleman and longer arms than Shakir.

yeah how is TO not on this list and guys Like Moses and Rashad are??

TO is the only legit pick.

This is a legit point someone else asked it...  I was basing it on Bills production but to your point TO may have been the best of the all... not sure how the attitude would have blended into this team... but on pure talent this guy in his prime was one of the all time best.  Moses and Rashad were a nod/option to the old timers that watched them play.  I have only faint memories of Rashad and none of Moses or Dubenion for that matter.

Rashad was a JAG who had a cup of joe in Buf--his career was essentially that of the completely forgettable John Brown.

TO was light years better than Diggs, yet Beane ignored the obvious issues with this guy and traded away a 1st rounder for him anyway.

TO cried for his QB.  Diggs cried at his QB(s).  This "culture" stuff is BS.  If TO in his prime was to be had, even WR-opposite-of-savant Beane would sign him.

Interesting... Rashad 1 year 455 yards with the Bills, again probably mis remembering him... Even TO had like 800yrds  in 1 year with us. Somehow thinking Rashad was here longer... maybe it was just the fact he was a commentator who knows but in retrospect probably better choices... but cant change it now...

TO no disagreement from me... unless your name is Rice or Fitzgerald probably dont want to listen to arguments that as a career goes anyone is better... but again I was really basing it off of production as a Buffalo Bill...

That said, I do believe attitude means something I think Diggs is a prime example of what that type of behavior can do to a team.  However, if you are gonna go get a Diggs type aint no way in the world you are turning down a top 3 all time receiver in TO, so yes I agree even Beane would get him.  If you are gonna suck it up and get a Diva Owens would be one...  didnt he try to trade for Antonio Brown too?  Glad that didnt happen...

I love love Eric moulds but he certainly is not the type of guy Josh Allen needs or the bills need.. And his style is not Josh Allen's favorite type of wide receiver over 8 years to throw to

Josh likes consistency..  guys who have consistent breaks, are in the same spot consistently on routes and is in the right spot.. moulds was a physical specimen who won without the consistency in his route running or timing

He's obviously supremely talented and one of the best wide receivers we've had.. but there's no way he would open up things more than James lofton who was also a much better route runner and a HoF

Lots of Lofton love here... he was one of my favorites... I remember at the end of the season when we picked him up off waivers from the Raiders... I was hoping he would turn into what he did...  I would have loved him in his prime when he was in Green Bay, but I am happy we got what we got.

Yea for sure ... If we're talking in their prime it's not even a question

But moulds had NFL quarterbacks Force feeding him the ball and he is what he is.. a supremely talented football player who could have been better

But that's on him not the quarterbacks.. because guys like Josh Gordon could go for 1,700 yards with skeletons throwing him the ball.. even a low level NFL quarterback can force feed a superstar

Eric moulds got a lot of targets his entire career.. he isn't some what if he had better quarterbacks

With all his targets he is what he is.. maybe one of the most physically talented wide receivers ever who had consistency issues

Well to your point, I am talking Bills production... Lofton still clearly makes the list... Moulds was one of my faves that started a bit slow but was becoming really dominant as time went on....  I liked Moulds because of his physicality he didnt need to rely on being a gazelle, he broke tackles and quite honestly didnt have Reed on the other side of him with Kelly feeding him the ball... and 34 in his prime.  But I get why you like Lofton... as for me.. I like the discussion and peoples points of view. I appreciate you sharing.

The bills don't even have a deep threat rn that 32-year-old James lofton was on the bills

Let alone he's a pure outside receiver

We have plenty of guys to move chains we don't have consistency which is what he was

That's why I choose him

Moulds will definitely be the popular pick.. but I think lofton would give an NFL team a lot more variety

Even at that age he ran better routes than moulds ... Of course he isn't what Eric is physically

Although Mr WEO makes a good point on TO whom I left off because I was looking at Bills production only... but that would be an epic receiver to bring in had I included him.

You probably couldn't go wrong with either moulds or Lofton

Moulds was as physically dominant as TO .. TO was more consistent

I think TO had more speed as well... and way more consistent for sure.

If Josh had someone with Beebe's speed [4.21 40] in the lineup, DC's would have to be a lot more honest.

I always thought the threat of his speed translated to better opportunities for Reed & Lofton.

Beebe averaged almost 16 ypc during his time in Buffalo.  He had a huge season in Green Bay in '96 17 ypc.

Duby averaged 18 ypc for his career.

As it should be and I do not disagree in any way about the top pick being Moulds what a show that would be O M G !!! But I did vote in a different directional because of circumstances .

I remember Jerry Butler tearing it up and then the knee - he was gone no more football . Given what he was doing at the time in the league and if he could keep it going what might have been something nearly as special as having Moulds out there .

I always hated and felt kind of cheated in a way (like he must have felt) just the way things happened, he was a up and comer when I was a younger Bills fan in the making and he was one of my favorites so I figured I'd give him a little luv from 1 small piece of the Mafia !!
