Jordan Burch, with AJE and Bosa not under contract after this coming season we could have a serious hole at DE after this season with Groot and Soloman the only guys under contract. Burch looks the part and at very least is good depth in 2025 and maybe competes with Soloman to start in 2026.

I haven't voted yet. I do like Burch. Converted from in to outside and had 8.5 sacks last year? It is said that he's very athletic and pass rush will keep advancing. edit Going  with Collins. Grant Oliver   Collins Carter,  at least feels like getting something solidified.

Buscaglia has Femi Oladejo at #56 in his mock from this morning. But then he has Revel at #62 and Mukuba at #109, and one of my sleeper types at 128 after a trade up, Brashard Smith who'd be plan B if you don't get Giddens...

The strategery that has been most successful to me in mocks, has been two trades to turn 30 and 56-or-62 into three picks, mid-late 30's for the CB, something 50ish for Tyleik or Collins, and a 3rd rounder for an edge or safety, taking the other at the remainder of 56/62. 4 picks to fortify the defense on Days 1+2. There are other guys the Bills can target at WR, RB, OL and TE that can be had Day 3. Buscaglia's getting closer to that but it's a lot of assumptions on who might trade up and why - best case is someone needs to jump KC for tackle. Or KC can just give up 95 to move up a slot!

Without the off field I'd take Isaiah Bond, no question.

With it... Tre Harris.

at this point I am surprised Bond got votes... he has Chiefs written all over him.

I do not, like any of these receivers for the Bills.  Poorly matched to their needs IMO.  I think they can do better further down for a developmental speed receiver for the Z long term.   I hate the thought of doubling up but the DTs are probably the best value.  Pick ‘em.  Uninspiring spot though.

It’s a factory of anti-social behavior over there so it would not surprise me.

I voted Burch for similar reasons

Another tough spot for the Bills. The first mock draft was the same thing. The Bills should go down from 30 and up from 56/62. It would be nice to be able to get 2 or 3 guys that can start as rookies.

I personally think the board in the 2nd is going to look a little better on draft day than the way it fell here.

But that being said, we don’t necessarily need to trade down from 30 to be able to be in position to move up from either spot on the 2nd, we have quite a bit of day 3 ammo to do it and still have all our picks next year too.

I’m not against a trade back from 30, just depends on how the board falls.  If certain guys aren’t there then I think we should trade back.  But there also needs to be someone on the board someone wants to come up and get too that picks in a range Beane is comfortable sliding back to.

I think if Jaxson Dart reached us (he won’t IMHO) like he did in this mock, it could make things interesting at our pick for a trade down.

Burch here as well for the reasons stated of only having Groot and Solomon under contract for 2026.

I wouldn't have a problem doubling up with Collins at 1T ... Royals would be on top of my WR list at this point... Is Harris faster than Coleman ?

Agreed, but if I am honest, realistically, I don't see anyone touching him while he is under investigation... he literally is gonna be like a punted ball that hit the turf and is bouncing around to the receiving team... when they all yell Poison Poison and run away from it.

We are down to our top 5.

Poll is still scheduled to close at 7p.  If we get to a point where there is a clear top 3 at one point, I will narrow it down again.

I wouldn't love doubling up on 1T with the top 2 picks you hold when you look at the guys who project to still be available at 169: Jamaree Caldwell Oregon, Nazir Stackhouse UGA, Yahya Black Iowa, Zeek Biggers GT, Cam Horsley BC, Elijah Simmon Tenn...

Poor use of assets at a non-premium position, despite the Bills' lack there.

Where are the CB selections?

Isn't this the draft where Grant is taken in the first?  If so, there should be some CBs to choose from with the second pick - I don't care what any of the services say about where they should be taken.  Your choices on CBs certainly won't get any better the longer you wait.

Dorian Strong, Zy Alexander, Denzel Burke, someone.

All of those guys are reaches here.

The idea of reach is subjective.

If you feel the Bills need a DL and CB above all else, getting a CB here is not unreasonable.  The selections won't get any better obviously.

This is why we either need to take CB in round 1, or trade up in the 2nd to get our guy at CB (if there’s someone the team has in mind).

That is the very essence of drafting for need though. None of the next tier of corners belong here IMO. I'm higher than most on Zy Alexander and I think he is a scheme fit for the Bills.... but he doesn't belong here either. If that's what they do we will be looking back in two years going "man that guy they passed on who went 3/4/5 picks later would have been nice"

Agree on the tough spots and agree with the idea of moving down from 30 to get ammo to come up from 56.

i think hoping for 3 starters as rookies is a big ask for a team picking late and with only a few holes.  Hopefully, they can find a CB that starts this year (and plays well).  I would be satisfied after to get a good backup for Daquan Jones this year and starter next.  Another starter as a rookie would (I think) have to be at S or WR - don’t think other starting spots are open this season.

This ^^^ ideally the Bills can fit their draft picks to the board by value. I think I stated up there somewhere the ideal scenario is to trade down slightly from 30 to 35-40 range where the value is right for corners, and then trade up slightly from 56 to around 50 for your 1T.

In some scenarios, Grant makes it down to the mid-30s and the Bills take him anyway, but then you have ammo to move up from 56 to secure your corner. Then you have the options of someone sticking out on your board at 62 at edge (Swinson?) or offer a tradeback if there's a position sticking out for some other team that can offer a 3 and a 4. That would be optimal in this draft, what I want out of the top-2 is a top CB (Hairston/Amos/Revel/Morrison) AND a top 1T (Grant/Collins/Tyleik) or EDGE (Landon Jackson, Ezeiruaku?). There's 1T's at all value levels throughout the draft.
