/dev/null Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Twas the night before the season opener and all, through the house only JFH was stirring, with his keyboard and mouse. The helmets were hung by the lockers with care In hopes that Vince Lombardi soon would be there The fans were nestled all snug in their beds With vision of touchdown dances in their heads And Donahoe in his suit, and McGahee in baseball cap Had just settled down for a pregame nap When out on the field turf there arose such a clatter I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter Away to the jumbotron I flew like a flash Tore open the shutters and called Sam Gash The moon on the breast of an early Buffalo snow Glistened off the statue, err i mean Drew Bledsoe When what to my wondering eyes should appear Cold, emotionless, calm, and austere Ol Whitey looked up, so lively and quick From teaching the ABCs to Travis Henry, dumb as a brick More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name Now Bledoe! Now Henry! Schobel and Denney On Henry, on Moulds, on Takeo and Kelsay! From the depths of the 'net, to the top of the stadiumwall Came cries of D00MED! D00MED!!! D00MED!!! are we all! okay, i'll leave it to someone else to finish. beer buzz is wearing off and its close to bed time
