harmonkillebrew Posted Sunday at 01:38 PM Posted Sunday at 01:38 PM Who are people feeling at CB in the draft? It's probably our biggest current hole in the roster, but doesn't mean its our top pick. I'm seeing alot of CBs mocked to us at #30, but the value doesn't seem to be there on some of the guys. Trade back? Trade up? Go another position and wait till the 2nd? Only included realistic options in the top 3 rounds. Quote
No_Matter_What Posted Sunday at 01:43 PM Posted Sunday at 01:43 PM Somehow I think it will be Amos, I just hope that it won't be at 30 then. 2 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted Sunday at 01:44 PM Posted Sunday at 01:44 PM I wouldn't mind going back to back with Ol' Miss picks. If we could get Nolen and Amos, that is a good draft in and of itself. 2 Quote
nosejob Posted Sunday at 01:45 PM Posted Sunday at 01:45 PM (edited) Darien Porter pick 62. Address Dline 1st 2 picks. Joe Marino has a good write up on wgr550 website. Unteachable talents and traits. Should be a day 1 starter. Edited Sunday at 01:49 PM by nosejob 4 1 2 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted Sunday at 01:51 PM Posted Sunday at 01:51 PM Amos is literally a perfect fit for a McDermott system. I see him being the guy they target followed by Revel. They prob will fall in love with a player like Revels character if you know the story on him 2 1 Quote
H2o Posted Sunday at 01:55 PM Posted Sunday at 01:55 PM I picked Darien Porter just off a gut feeling. The Iowa St. defense was also a heavy Zone scheme. In 203 coverage snaps he was only targeted 17 times. He gave up 5 receptions for 70 yards. That's it. A passer rating of 4.7 is pretty impressive. He's 6'3", almost 200lbs, and could very well be the most athletically gifted CB in the class. He's kind of Tariq Woolen-esque in that regard. I don't know if they take him in the 1st or the 2nd, but I just have a feeling that he will end up being their guy in the Secondary. 1 1 Quote

Willing blocker, secure tackling and ball hawk ability. Former receiver and track record holder. Lack of experience yes, but one more year in college probably gets him mid 1st...with this class anyway. Quote
harmonkillebrew Posted Sunday at 02:11 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:11 PM Amos at 30 could be good value. But I'm thinking they go big man at 30 and maybe move up in the 2nd for CB. I'm picking Hairston Quote

I would rather take a chance on Porter at 62 and look to get 1 or 2 later. Strong / Alexander / Bryant etc. I think those will be just as good or better than the few that are ranked higher right now. 1 Quote
noacls Posted Sunday at 02:24 PM Posted Sunday at 02:24 PM I could see them trading out of 1st if DL they like is not there. Then taking Amos or Morrison. 1 Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM If we go CB in the 1st round, we better jump the Rams. 1 Quote
LEBills Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM I don’t think the Bills will take Revel, Hairston or Morrison because of past injuries. Porter probably is older than they would like. I think it’ll be Amos or Thomas. Thomas will probably still be there round 2. 3 Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted Sunday at 02:50 PM Posted Sunday at 02:50 PM Amos for me seems really safe for our #2 1 Quote

Yes he has the knee but the Bills know they are good, even if Revel isn’t his old self early in the year the Bills can still win a lot of games regardless. The Bills are very big on character. I told people this last year when everyone was shunning Coleman as a pick and how the Bills will love Coleman as a person. I think the same thing could be said about Revel. All reports are he’s a stand up guy that comes from a good family. Failed school in HS , went to JUCO and thought his career was over, went to the ECU camp while working full time at Amazon and impressed so much that ECU offered him with the contingency he got his grades up at JUCO. He got his grades up and bigger schools started offering but he stuck with ECU because they were the ones who gave him a shot to get out of working a normal job the rest of his life. Then he baled out and was off to a great start before blowing out his knee. He fits the Bills character MO to a tee 2 1 Quote

I won’t hate the Revel pick but just think for CB they err on the side of caution medically Quote

The only guy they took that old was Kincaid. He’s also not a polished 24 Quote
Stenbar Posted Sunday at 03:18 PM Posted Sunday at 03:18 PM I voted Hairston, I just cant see the Bills drafting a cb in the first 2 rounds that has already had a major injury. Otherwise it would be Amos or Revel. Quote

He's green as they get, but with his talent, I hope Beane drafts him. I suspect he won't, though, since he didn't draft Tariq Woolen, who had the same profile, in 2022. People say this year's draft is awful, but there are a lot of gems out there. 1 1 Quote
