Rocky Landing Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM James Cook is on the hot seat. Going public with his contract wishes is something Beane would prefer not to tolerate. Cook will not get a contract extension, and will have to continue to play the next season on his rookie contract. If he holds out, he may very well be cut, or traded. Further hot take: he'll likely play next season in a diminished roll, with Ty Johnson getting an increased roll. Even hotter: Of the two, Ty Johnson is the better receiver. Quote
Doc Brown Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM Posted yesterday at 02:25 AM The play call coming out of the two minute warning in the Chiefs home divisional game where Allen took a low percentage deep shot to Shakir (and not checking it down to Diggs) was more egregious than any of the calls on the 13 second game collapse. 1 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM My hot bills take. The patriots weren’t that bad of a villain and were actually likeable in retrospect. It’s the bills fault for being bad for 17 years. 1 2 1 Quote

Draconator Posted yesterday at 04:31 AM Posted yesterday at 04:31 AM Marv Levy was highly overrated and should not be in the Hall of Fame. He was a very good people manager, and a bad coach. 1 1 Quote

Pretty much anyone coaching the Bills during that tenure would be in the Hall. 2 Quote

BananaB Posted yesterday at 08:39 AM Posted yesterday at 08:39 AM (edited) Allen has been carrying McD and Beane on his back since his third year. Neither has improved or changed how they do things but Allen has continued to improve and adjust his game so the team stays on top, and those two stay employed. GymShorts84 Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM McBeane should be fired without a Super Bowl appearance this year but their is no one in upper management that will make that difficult decision. 1 1 Quote

Kelly also led his team to 4 Super Bowls while calling his own plays un a no huddle offense. With the most stacked Bills team in history, in all 3 phases. Loaded with Pro Bowlers and HOFers. Put Jim on 2017 Bills- how does he do? Quote

What is it that you believe that will trigger Bills fans? I think Jim Kelly is one of the most overrated players in history. He was a very good QB. Historically, he was Jalen Hurts. Kirk Cousins numbers dwarf Kelly’s. He was the steward of an elite offense and did well with it. I am fine with him in the HOF but there are 30-40 QBs better. What is your spicy take? My disagreement with your take is because you said player, not QB. There's a long list of overrated players; Jim Kelly is not even close to being on this list at all! As for being overrated as a QB, I don't agree either, but more plausible. He did have some elite talent, but he didn't let his ego get in the way, which he had a big one, by refusing to get a run game established. My biggest critique of Dan Marino is he just refused to let his RB's establish themselves, his ego got in the way IMO. He had some good running backs, not Thurman, but good. That's the main reason the Dolphins couldn't get past the Bills to a SB. Quote

That's the main reason the Dolphins couldn't get past the Bills to a SB. That’s fair and I should have specified QB. I think that he’s a top 30 - 40 QB all-time. I also feel like Bills fans have him in the top 10-15. He had a great career and an accomplished career. Kelly just felt like more of a “piece” to why they were great instead of the reason. I use the Jalen Hurts example and that’s not meant to be an insult. He’s been to 2 Super Bowls already and won 1. He’s been an MVP candidate but is never considered to be the best in the game. It is more a function of being the QB on the best team. That was Kelly when he played. He was somewhere between the 4th-8th best QB in any given year (or something like that). He belongs in the HOF. Hurts may end up there too. 1 Quote
