Kirby Jackson Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I think this is a fun offseason topic. What is your spiciest BIlls take? What is it that you believe that will trigger Bills fans? I think Jim Kelly is one of the most overrated players in history. He was a very good QB. Historically, he was Jalen Hurts. Kirk Cousins numbers dwarf Kelly’s. He was the steward of an elite offense and did well with it. I am fine with him in the HOF but there are 30-40 QBs better. What is your spicy take? 5 5 1 6 1 2 2 Quote
Beast Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Your take is spicy and ***** enough for me to further comment. Quote
HereComesTheReignAgain Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Mack Hollins is a below average WR and the offense will not suffer without his 1.8 catches per game. 2 4 3 Quote

That’s what makes it spicy. Kelly isn’t in the league with Josh. edit: I can also tell how old someone is or how long they’ve followed the Bills by their Kelly takes. He was a borderline, top 5 player on those teams. He was Jalen Hurts. If you think he was better than that it is because your dad told you that. I never saw OJ play but my dad insists, with the possible exceptions of Bruce and Josh, he’s the best Bills player ever. Tom Sestak carries that status too for a lot of older folks. Kelly was better as a memory than as a player. He was closer to Fitz than to Josh. Edited April 11 by Kirby Jackson 2 1 6 1 1 Quote

Kelly also led his team to 4 Super Bowls while calling his own plays un a no huddle offense. Edited April 11 by Beast 7 4 2 Quote

My spicy take is that your take ain’t that spicy. Jim Kelly was a HoF choker. Its like Troy Aikman stole his ability come postseason a la Space Jam. Edited April 11 by FireChans 3 Quote

GunnerBill Posted April 11 Posted April 11 My hot take is that Sean McDermott would have taken at least 4 of the Bills drought teams to the playoffs - 2004, 2008, 2014 and 2015. 8 2 4 Quote

Perhaps JK is slightly overrated. The first SB the Bills should have won and the O didn’t produce. Having said that, stats from 86-96 and now are not comparable. Too many changes since to compare fairly. It is a very hot take but not sure I would go that direction. How about the year Ferguson played on one leg vs Chargers? That team would have won the SB with a healthy Fergy!! I’ll hang up and listen 😆 Edited April 11 by QLBillsFan 1 1 Quote
