Browns Bring Back Flacco

It amazes me this guy is still kicking around the league at 39. And it amazes me he still finds teams where he can potentially start at some point in the season. He's really cracked the code on his to have longevity in the league and exploit the lack of QB talent League wide into parlaying that into a nice career for himself. Good for him...but the factory of sadness continues to pump out mass produced years of 💩 at the QB position.

Nice situation for Flacco... (not so much the Browns) but reminds me of a Testeverde... finish your career out playing a little bit, not needing to be the guy, mostly hanging on the sidelines not getting beat to death, and making millions... good work if you can find it...

Agreed and very good comparison to Vinny's last few years. Great work if you can find it.

 

The Flacco vs Pickett QB battle is going to be a real thrill ride for Browns fans.

Bills' great Joe Ferguson was still playing at age 40. He had an 18-year career. And this back in the 70's and 80's, mind you, when a QB got beat up.

I’m sure he works hard, as it takes a lot to be a pro athlete. I don’t want to dismiss that, but he’s another vet QB who’s just collecting a check at this point. You can’t blame him for taking the money as long as someone wants him. These guys are like the nostalgia bands of athletes.

Wonder if Sanders is the pick there at #2 then.  Would suck because the Pats would get at least one of Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter.
