However, it is probably a near future trend (if not current) that will benefit early adopters (that get it right).

 

It works well enough now that, with the right resources, something could be put in place that adds value by helping generate ideas for game-plan and even in real time. Obviously it’s not going to call the plays autonomously. It can crush the best minds in chess it could at least add occasional value in football. And if it can do that now then getting going learning/developing now will inevitably lead to a real competitive advantage at some later.
