Expand You're not mistaken... the original one is still on East Main St in Batavia but it's not owned by the Pontillo family anymore. The new owners couldn't talk the old man into keeping the Pontillo name when they bought the place so it's called "Batavia's Original Pizzaria" now. 1 Quote

I have yet to have a great Buffalo pizza (have had some good ones, but nothing that knocked my socks off), and there is no food I love more in the world than pizza, so I've been BEGGING someone to tell me definitively where I oughta go to get a great one. If the old man wasn't willing to give up the Pontillo name when he sold the business I have serious doubts that he'd give up the Pontillo recipe. 1 Quote

Is Bocce the #1 answer? Expand Bocce’s is my favorite, but a lot of that goes back to it being a treat when we had special parties at night around the pool as kids. This is a blend of objective test tasting and what you grew up with and learned to love. Probably like BBQ in some places. Bocce’s has been known to be my breakfast in the hotel. When I go back I’ll usually hit the Bocce’s across from Williamsville North HS. I promise, you don’t want to arrive right after school lets out. I gave up and learned my lesson! .
