I don’t think anyone’s trading up for Jeanty.  When’s the last time the first RB off the board turned into the best RB in the draft class?  Saquon?

Argument could be made for Bijon over Gibbs a couple years back. I personally think Bijon is better, but the Lions use Gibbs better being the difference.

Still, only takes one team to decide they gotta have him.

Can I make one tweak and set the over/under at 8.5? I think that the Saints are absolutely in play. In fact, I think that’s likeliest landing spot. Otherwise, I’m good.

How about the Saints at 9 is a push and we both donate lol

With the 8th selection in Round 1, the Panthers reluctantly select Emeka Egbuka - WR - Ohio State

I believe that Bryce Young is a good quarterback and can improve. I really wanted to get him a Left Tackle but none really stand out imo, except perhaps Campbell and he is gone. In a real scenario, I would have wanted to trade down and grab one of these kids that might have to play guard. In any event, I got Bryce a fine weapon that he can use. Oh well.

The Saints and @Alphadawg7are on the clock.

Bad timing, but I came down with something last night and I'm a little out of it today.  Updates and responses may be delayed.

Not a single GM in the league would take Bijon Robinson over Gibbs.

Funny, because one did on draft day.

Unless you conducted a poll on the question you literally have no way of knowing that.

Gibbs has been more productive in Ben Johnson's system. That's a fact. I'll give you that. But in terms of skill and what they are capable of, I would say it's much closer that what numbers show. That can be your opinion and that's cool. But it doesn't make it fact.

With the 9th pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints select:  Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

We didn't expect Mason to be here for us, but we met with him anyway on the off chance the board fell in a way where he had a chance to grab him.  While we considered 2 trade back offers, the value just wasn't quite there for us to pass up the opportunity to take what we feel is a top 5 player in this draft and a guy we can plug in next to Bresee to form a menacing duo for years to come on our DL.  We just love his athletic ability, he is a guy that just wins in the trenches with an elite first step and high motor.  We thank the teams for their valid and worthy offers, but the chance to take him was too strong and we couldn't be more thrilled with how this board fell.

The Bears have traded the # 10 pick to the NY Giants for DE Kayvon Thibodeaux, Pick #34, pick # 65, and a 2026 3rd round pick. The Giants are back on the clock.

Bears thought process: First Ryan Poles loves to trade for veteran players and adding Thibodeaux would fill a huge need opposite of Montez Sweat on the defense and Thibodeaux is a better prospect still than every DE in this draft outside of  Carter.

Membou, Campbell, and Jeanty were all off the board and this is the start of the dead zone in this draft imo where you can get the same player at 34 than you can at 10. We added multiple picks to add to our young core and a DE that we hope can regain his 2023 form. Now we own 34,39, and 41, filled one of our big needs and added what could be a high 3rd round pick in 2026

I don't think he even goes in the 1st round. Especially over Golden and McMillan. If it was me, I would've taken Warren. He's the last blue chipper left.

But....the draft is a bit wild and unpredictable at times. That's what makes the draft, and even these mocks so fun.

With the 10th pick, the NY Giants select Shadeur Sanders, QB, Colorado. We paid a pretty hefty price but if Sanders becomes the franchise QB, it’s well worth it. We risked some of our draft capital to build out the roster in exchange for a shot at the QB. We have Carter to replace, and hopefully upgrade Thibodeaux. He’s on a rookie deal. Sanders comes in and hopefully wins the job.

This trade would put Thibodeaux's value as a late 2nd rounder, pick 63 by the draft value chart. I wonder what he would fetch in a trade in real life. If NY takes Carter which seems increasingly likely I could definitely see them trading him. I would think he'd get no higher than a late 3rd or 4th since he would basically be a one year rental unless the trading team picked up his 5th year option which I would not expect.

NY getting Carter and Sanders without having to give up any future 1st or 2nd round picks would be a huge win. The threat of Deion Sanders taking Daboll's job in 2026 would loom large, but if they don't get the QB position figured out it's a lame duck job in any case. Great trade and pick Kirby. It's a semi-realistic move that would shake up the entire draft.

Yea I’m not a huge Thibodeaux advocate but he’d make sense for the Bears. They can afford to pick up his 5th year since Williams is on the rookie deal even if he’s not worth it. I didn’t want to try to squeeze Kirby for more because once Graham went I was like well I don’t really wanna take someone here at 10. I probably would have taken Hampton at 10 tbh

That was a super exciting turn of events with the big trade. Its about to get a little boring and conventional, but…

With the 11th pick of the 2025 TBD Mock Draft 2.0, the San Francisco 49ers select Kelvin Banks Jr., offensive tackle from Texas.

Banks is big, long, (TBD after dark amirite?) and athletic and he has played at a very high level for three years against high level competition. RAS is in line for what a Shannahan OL looks like. He just turned 21, so youth is on his side. The 49ers have a million needs, but in this case, need and BPA kind of matched up. Banks could play any position on the offensive line and eventually replace Trent Williams who turns 37 this summer and has missed a ton of time due to injuries. I wouldn’t normally choose a guy who won’t play LT right away this high, but it matches up perfectly in this case and I think he will be playing LT sooner than later. There is very little risk here, unless you think he is a guard as some experts do. I think he’s a LT but at worst he’s probably an all pro anywhere else.
