Is there where the bills may need to start thinking about trading up for a CB?

Morrrison and Thomas are what’s left here in this range. I think that’s the issue skipping CB in round 1, but we shall how it plays out. There are some interesting rounds 3-4 guys but we don’t have a third so that’s tricky as well.

That is why you trade down in the 1st imo.

Then the question becomes is it worth trading a bit to secure one of the two?  I don't watch college ball so you guys are my resource for prospects 😂

And which DT to you land when Grant inevitably gets drafted before our pick?

it seems to me that we’re going to have to trade up in rd 2 if we want to land a CB and a DT that we’d be happy with.

I think there will be a handful of corners we’d be ok with in mid rd 2-  I really only see 1 DT (Tyliek) and he might go rd 1 too.  The more I watch Collins, the more I think he’s just a rotational guy with no pass rush.   Which other 1T capable DTs will be there for us in rd 2 if we don’t move up?  CJ West?

Based on the draft class- I think it would be a mistake to pass on Grant or Harmon if either are available @ 30.  Trade up for one of the corners.

I voted for the trade down!

Didn’t you say to stay put and take Revel and if he’s gone then trade down?  &nbsp

And he was there….so more you preferred trade down over Grant, not that trading down was your preferred choice, that would have been Revel correct?

I mean let’s be frank most 1Ts in the NFL aren’t pass rush guys. It’s why the Bills have employed undersized 1Ts for most of the tenure. The guys who do go very early in the draft. I suppose you could say Grant has that upside due to his athleticism for his size but the vast majority of 1Ts play two downs and then come off for another 3 T on passing downs. If your looking for pass rush your better off drafting a 3T and trying to convert them like a Harmon

I voted early before he was on the poll.... he got added after. I was asleep the entire time he was on it and it was live. By the time I was awake the choice was made.

Well, you are proving my point.  This is why we shouldn’t pass on the opportunity to land Grant or Harmon.  I think both of them have pass rush upside along with the ability to be the run stuffer we need.

I don’t think we should be looking for another 3T or any pure pass rushing DT.

Harmon played the 3T in college though. Caldwell was the NT

Does that mean that Harmon can’t play 1T or does that mean that they had 2 capable DTs and played both of them?  Caldwell certainly isn’t a candidate for the 3T.  He looks capable to me from what I’ve seen.  You don’t think so?

Pretty much every scouting report I’ve read says that he can 2 gap, is very stout and tough to move.   He’s just not a good finisher vs the run-  more of a clogger.

No I think he can play the 1T but he will be a converted guy like I was discussing in the earlier post with you

Which works for me.  My point in all of this is that I think it would be a mistake to pass on Grant or Harmon because they are the only 2 1T, that may be available to us, that have the pass rush upside. Maybe Tyliek can push the pocket some and I’d be ok with drafting him in rd 2…. But we’d likely have yo trade up for him too.  That said- if we’re going to have to trade up in rd 2- I’d rather it be for a corner while taking grant or Harmon rd 1.

I apologize; I went for a run which at my age is an effort.

I did well, but then conked into a deep sleep for over two hours.

I will be ready for Tampa.
