Actually a trade up for Golden if he makes the Rams pick costs our first fourth and our last 6th. I'd be in on that. I think in real life might cost a 4th and a 5th but by the chart a 4th and our final pick of the draft late 6th does it.

I was a lot higher on Kyler Gordon then Elam. 

 

And it's a shame Beane traded up. So many starting CB's came out of rounds 2-4 in that draft.

So was I. I was higher on Gordon even than McDuffie and while McDuffie is an outstanding player, Gordon has developed into a stud himself. I had Elam as CB7.

Mine too. They liked him but saw him as more of a slot in their scheme.

It kinda makes it better that, if true Elam was our guy, that KC in fact, did not "jump us."

Yeah, it seems the Bills draft more on traits and a certain profile than they do the tape. If this is the case, and we're looking to go CB early, don't be surprised if our pick is Darien Porter of Iowa St.

Strong, good size, good eyes, good read and react, assignment obedient and rarely out of position, good feel for zone. 

Thought about the saftey from SC to pair with Winfield, Jr for a super duo but went with the high floor rather than the ceiling risk.

I was obviously unhappy with trading up for a first round corner, but I had seen Elam play against a superb Alabama team and he looked like a great player. I really thought that he would be a star on the Bills and have no idea what happened.

I think once he got beat out by Christian Benford, his career in Buffalo was over. It's hard to overcome being the chosen one the team traded up in the first to get and get beat out by a 6th round pick from Villanova. 

 

It's the old Heath Shuler-Gus Ferrotte situation.

He was good his sophomore season and took a big step back in his junior year. He was always grabby, even in man coverage but you can get away with that more in college. He was drafted on his traits and the ability for him to learn the Bills system. He failed to do so

I think his transitions always made him a real clunky scheme fit. He is just not quick enough to change from backpedal to close and vice versa. I think there are and were other issues too but that was the biggest one.

This is why I love Hairston's fit for our scheme. His transitions look so fluid on film.

The Bills have an offer to trade up to #20.  The poll indicates wanting to stay at 30.

 

To me, the players we would have wanted to trade up for are gone, and everyone left is in the same tier, so 30 will get us someone.  

 

Figured I'd at least put it out there.

Me too. I'm all in on Hairston. As I mentioned in an early comment, I'm starting to feel about Hairston, how I felt about Brian Thomas last year. I also really like Grant. Those are my 2

Nope doesn’t make sense from a player and a draft pick perspective. You’d have to give up one of the 2nds and I don’t think the Bills will do that
