How our ‘25 schedule is being determined with the ‘Man in charge’

Listen to it in full and my early schedule thoughts are on point:

-Bills in 6 primetime games & in total 9 national window games

-Bills are playing on Christmas and possibly the night Thanksgiving game or Black Friday

-Ireland is a real possibility 

 

Found it interesting that he said they may spread the Bills primetime games out instead of clumping them like last year.

I remember when the speculation was they didn't want Bills primetime games because our fans drank too much at the night games lol

While I like primetime games and national games for the Bills at 4:25 since that means they are a good team, I do wish the Bills had more 1:00 starts. But I am not complaining since to many 1:00 starts means the team isn't very good and nobody wants that.

The one which has been confirmed on why the Bills didn't get many primetime games at home during the drought is the stadium is a complete pain to wire up for a national broadcast and with the team not very good it was easier to keep them on the road if it was at night. I think the Pegula's did pay for some updates as the team improved to help that a bit. I also know the Bills in the drought begged for 1 pm games as the fans came as far as Binghamton so it was a better drive.

@Chandler#81 I hate just about everything you said before the emoticon... Hate it... But you're probably closer to the mark than we'd all like. 

 

I honestly did not expect us to be as good of a team last year as we were,.and I'm tempering my expectations for the coming season, as well; however, if we can manage 2 good DL picks (DE / DT or 2X DT) who can contribute early, there's a chance we emerge from the first six games without too much tarnish on our record. Trying to stay positive, while being realistic.

It’s the 17th game thing. One season we play and additional NFC game at home, the next season we play an additional NFC game on the road. 

I agree, but I’m assuming we’ll outscore opponents again this season. Josh Allen is the ultimate cheat code. I think having better DL play would be huge in the playoffs. I agree, I want better DL play all season, but I’d rather these guys miss the first six games, rather than being unavailable during the playoffs. I just don’t see the suspension of these guys derailing our season.

I can't be the only one who doesn't need that kind of added stress on two of the best holiday/family days of the year, right?

The schedule gets released in about 5 weeks (mid-May) if I am not mistaken. The draft is two weeks from tomorrow.

Christmas as a TV fan is great - Christmas as a season ticket holder sucks... I'll have to start fighting with everyone in my family now, so that no one wants to see me Christmas day

They have been on Thanksgiving a lot over these past few years. At Detroit (early game) at Dallas (late game) and at New Orleans (night game). I could see Christmas as a possibility but not Thanksgiving especially since the Bills don't play at Dallas or Detroit this year.

The night game typically doesn't feature the Cowboys or Lions. It's just something random.

I could totally see Bills-Dolphins being a Thanksgiving night game.

Possible but there are a lot of good teams in the league who haven't been on Thanksgiving recently who could host that night game. Don't rule out the Black Friday game. That would be good since it would be a primetime game but Thanksgiving Day would be over, so no family issues to deal with.

I definitely dont like the idea of Christmas but I have a feeling it is going to happen.

we have 9 home games this season though, don’t we?

 

Last season was an “extra NFC opponent on the road” season (at Detroit).

I understand that but we play the Eagles at home this year.  Our “extra game”  is the Eagles, but it’s at home, not away.
