Not old enough to have seen Byrd and James and I know he wasn’t here for very long but Antoine Winfield is being criminally underrated.

i watched both Clements and Winfield closely and in my opinion Clements while very good wasn’t close to Winfield.

Tre White is fantastic but I still would have taken Winfield over him

2 first-team all pros as a CB is no joke. Injuries suck. Sterling Sharpe is another guy that had GOAT potential. Health is such an underrated attribute as a player. Then u have iron men like Favre or Bill Romanowski who play with an almost reckless abandonment, but almost never sat out a game. I’m willing to bet they’ve most definitely played in games that regular NFL players wouldn’t.  Higher pain threshold?

I think with Favre and Bill Romanowski it was more that they were just stupid.

Agreed, I was a HS kid in the 60's, AFL was a passing league, he was the definition of a shut down corner.

Was he 42, and Warfield 24? I have some crazy old memories from the Rockpile.

We may B word and moan, but the Bills have given us many years of enjoyment on many levels.

Robert James. He's not getting any love because most of you aren't old enough to have watched him play back when the bump and run was legal. Now you can't even breathe on a receiver or it's interference. Butch Byrd is another good choice. He made the All-Time-AFL team.

I have to respectfully disagree. Nate Clements was clearly the number 1 corner, and would draw the WR1 assignments and routinely shut them down or hold them in check. Winfield on the other hand was the biggest pound for pound hitter. Still to this day, there's no undersize player that could hit/tackle like that guy. His son in TB is equally a fan favorite of mine. Another honorable mention, that no one is talking about was Thomas Smith. I always remember the broadcasters saying, no one knows who this guy is, because of the lack interception. Announcers would always say, because QBs never throw his way.

Christian Benford if he keeps it up for another year.

For me it is Winfield, but as others have stated he was only here a short time.

Benford is really good. To be an all timer in Bills history, though, he has to keep it up for many more years and also become a guy who makes impact plays like turnovers. I think he will need to do that if he wants to get recognition by way of pro bowls, all pros, etc. But he has it in him for sure.

Favre was addicted to Pain Killers, so…

I think this one is a tough one with many potential answers.

I don't know maybe....Nate Odomes?  Winfield was great but only here a few years.  Same with Clements.

Terrence McGee potentially ahead of Odomes?

Butch Byrd, maybe. Might have been Stephon Gilmore if we'd kept him.

I really loved Antoine Winfield. Watching him tackle in the open field was an absolute joy.
