REMINDER:

Market futures imply all major indexes will open down 4-7%. Even Bitcoin is down. Oil is tanking. Margin calls are coming.

Trump will stupidly/unconvincingly declare victory over something or other and back down. His billionaire false friends can't take it anymore.

I say it happens by tomorrow (Monday 4/7) afternoon.

Anyone disagree?

Called it!

90-day "pause" is coming.

Kevin Hassett says so. Just as the S&P hit bear territory.

By the way, if these jackasses around Trump (including his family) aren't trading on the insider info I'd be shocked. Hundreds of millions to be made by being just a few minutes ahead of these Trump ponderings.

I don't think he's going to get to pause them.  If I'm Chyyna, I'm going to call his bluff.   They have a controlled society, more accustomed to a dearth of support from their leaders.  Their leaders will bank on outlasting us, and they'll probably be right.  We don't have the varied industrial base to just snap into sustaining our accustomed levels of supply.

I'd start wrapping my head around preparing for hyperinflation and some brutal years ahead, and we have the worst collection of leaders this country has ever had- they won't do anything of much worth for the average American citizen.

Musk’s right about him. Never knew of him previously. Kind of dreading 7 hrs. from now.

CNBC just put out (3:17 am):

Dow futures have reversed losses of as much as 900 points to briefly turn positive after China just urged dialogue to resolve tariff measures.

Futures of all the three benchmark indices are currently trading at the flat line.

More volatility occurred in the futures after this post.⬆️

China hit back.

Well seeing as if I heard correctly on the news some numerous other countries wanting to come to DC and talk with the president about changing their tariffs against the US I'd say probably not very soon .

The only bad thing is that because China basically OWNS the US given all that we ignorantly have allowed them to take over by allowing our manufacturing companies to move there all in the name of greed & because of the "Global Economy" mind set it will probably have a definite influence on certain things that we purchase .

But one way we can help is try to not buy products produced in China and look for other products produced else where . By us standing in unison or united we stand with what is trying to be done instead of being divided we stand it will make our demands known and change will come sooner rather than later ...

But I don't see that happening because TDS is alive and well and the American public cannot agree to come together on much of anything now days .

This is a disaster indication

It's also a disaster for the fed budget.  Interests payments markedly increase.  Bigger deficit.  the opposite of what MAGA economists and trump want.  bravo orange pos.

Which this is the exact crux of the problem !! The US USE TO BE ABLE To stand on it's own 2 feet, independent and strong with out the help of many others but now today not so much .

Because of the "Global Economy" mind set and companies wanting less regulations and more profits because they can get slave labor which the US use to rail against some countries using child labor but now support due to profits being the ultimate goal the US is where it is .

Economically Dependent on a communist country that hates everything we stand for that being freedom above all else !! Yet we still allow it to be by letting them buy properties here and companies continuing to take their manufacturing and giving the power to them . AWESOME isn't it ...

Cause and effect in the works = higher prices and inflationary situations by our own doings ... Maybe but I highly doubt it this might be some kind of long over due wake up call to many Americans . 🙏

Seems like we have gotten off of the point of the thread.

Now what was it?

Oh yes.

Frankie posited that President Trump would cave under pressure and withdraw his tariffs. . . . . . . . . . last Monday.

Sorry for veering. I’m not caving, more like cracking. But I am an egg after all.
