Warriorspikes51 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) His former DB coach from NE is now on our staff, so it’s possible we’d be interested 69 tackles and 3 INT in 2024 7 career INT, 4 career TDs Edited 20 hours ago by Warriorspikes51 1 Quote

Trust The Process Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Only if Jones is released and sign him for veteran minimum 1 Quote
zevo Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Sounds like a guy that could use some guidance. McD seems like he would be ideal in this scenario but I don’t think they are willing to disrupt the locker room. 1 Quote
BlueRed Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hmm interesting option - any other CB’s we expect teams to part with that will be available soon - Jaire (GB)? Quote
Maine-iac Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Best thing I could say about him is he did have 16 passes defensed. After that the other teams threw at him almost 90 times and he gave up 8 TDs and a 98 QB rating. He also missed almost 18 percent of his tackles. That and 5'11" and 175 pounds doesn't sound like a CB in the McDermott mold. 1 2 Quote
The Cincinnati Kid Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago He was convicted of a burglary charge and agreed to a deal involving probation and community service for a loaded guns charge at Logan Airport. According to his lawyer he “never intended to bring guns to the airport.” But, ya know, he did. If he is looking at his 3rd team in 4 years, might be ok to pass on this opportunity. 2 2 1 1 Quote
HOUSE Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Jack Jones is ranked 102 out of 116 at the CB position (lower then Kaiir Elam) so lets get er done !! It would be a boring season without a weekly scorched CB https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/raiders/raiders-plan-to-move-on-from-starting-cb-via-trade-or-release-3347744/ Edited 3 hours ago by HOUSE 2 3 1 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago If released it’s a yes. I just like that he doesn’t like Patrick Mahomes. 1 1 Quote

Jones should be immediately CB3 on the depth chart at worst….and above Dane 37 minutes ago, MrEpsYtown said: If released it’s a yes. Our DB coach who was with him in NE when he became very good may believe in the player / connect well with him Edited 20 hours ago by Warriorspikes51 3 1 Quote

Like you said, he can be released if it doesn't work. 1 2 Quote
Slowcoach Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Could be that having known him in NE makes it less likely that he’d want him. 1 Quote
sven233 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Good player, but it seems like he has a questionable attitude. But hey.....that's why we have built the culture we have, though, right? So, on occasion you can bring in a guy like this and hope that some of that great culture rubs off on him and he becomes the best version of himself. I don't want to bring him in at any significant money, and I am not sure he would even be a starter by the end of camp, but I believe he is better than Dane and if he's boundary CB3, then so be it. And, if he screws up or has those same attitude issues, then he's not on the team. But I am very interested in bringing him in and letting him compete for a spot. 1 Quote

Our DB coach who was with him in NE when he became very good may believe in the player / connect well with him He's on his way to his third team since being Drafted in 2022. And there's good reason for that, beyond his play last season: - On June 8, 2018, Jones was arrested at a Panda Express in Santa Paula, California, for commercial burglary. He pled guilty to commercial burglary, a second-degree misdemeanor, and served 45 days of house arrest. - Jones was arrested on June 16, 2023, at Boston's Logan Airport when two loaded guns were found in his carry-on baggage by Transportation Security Administration agents. - The night before the Patriots Week 9 game vs the Washington Commanders, Jones missed curfew at the team hotel and was benched and played a reduced role. He also played a career-low 10 snaps vs the Indianapolis Colts the next week He was waived the next day on November 13, 2023. And obviously not on the same level as the first 3, but shows the kind of genius you're dealing with in Jones: - Then the next week on Christmas Day, in a Week 16 victory against Kansas City Chiefs, he intercepted a Patrick Mahomes pass, returning it for his second touchdown in two weeks. Following the touchdown, in celebration, Jones offered the intercepted ball to a young Chiefs fan. Jones then snatched the ball back after the child reached out to grab it. You think this is someone Beane and McDermott would be interested in giving opportunity 3 and bringing in their locker room? I don't think they'd want him if he were a Superstar. And Jack Jones is FAR from that. Edited 12 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote
