I beg to differ. Tennessee selects Ward first overall. Sanders will most likely not get past the Giants. If so,  Hunter or Carter will be available with the Patriots 4th overall pick

I don't think Giants are taking a QB. Daboll's seat is hotter than the sun right now. He needs to win now. Hence why they signed two vet QBs

Seeing teams sign Vet QBs like that at the top of the draft tells me they don't think highly of this class.

Sanders isnt good enough to demand where he goes

Somebody should tell that to Prime.

Or they know all they need and will pick him. BUT... A really good friend of mine is a Raiders fan, and although he says they need a QB to develop, he doesn't want Sanders. I said why?  He said Deion.  I agree with him, whomever takes that kid is going to have to deal with Deion and that might be a bit much.

I think Shedeur is reason enough to stay away from Shedeur.  I see a spoiled brat with zero leadership qualities and no accountability.  Stranger things have happened, but I will be absolutely shocked if this kid demonstrates any ability to mature or handle the adversity that is coming at the next level.  "Look at my watch" is not going to earn the respect of an NFL locker room. But it will be a pretty funny sack dance and one I expect to see early and often.

Whichever team selects Sanders should take a patient approach: let him sit, observe for a year, absorb the game, and tune out the noise coming from Pops.

He's talented but the CU approach to generating offense (a billion passes every game, let's not run the football...at all) isn't a winner in the NFL.

A Giants QB room of Sanders, Russ, Crab Legs, and Tommy Cutlets would be a gift that we probably don't deserve...

this draft class looks pretty crappy for big potential players compared to other years

sucks to be the Titans; tough year to have the #1 pick

This isn’t issue. On one hand I think he’s a very ready made pro QB. His field vision, his processing, his activity under pressure, all of these are really good to great. He’s got elite ball placement and touch as well.

His issue is that his arm talent is good but not great and he’s a really poor athlete with little lower body burst (which is nuts to say about the kid of Deion Sanders).

Ultimately I like the Tua comps for him. Where people think Tua should be drafted is a different question

THIS!

I also think this is less about the Titans likeing or disliking Shedeur. And more about him trying to pick where he goes. Kind of like Eli. I wouldn't be shocked if they met and Sanders camp said "we're not coming if you draft us".

But I also think there's a nonzero chance that the Giants grab Sanders, Deion is the HC for the 2026 season, and both parties have already talked about it.

How is this level of plotting possible without the current Giants HC catching wind? It's just not something Daboll would passively endure.

Somewhat unrelated, but I can’t help but come away unimpressed with any QB prospects nowadays.

After watching Josh Allen every week for 5-6 months, everyone’s arm and athletic ability just seems average.  People are gushing over Cam Ward, and to me he just looks meh.

Allen is as close to a physically perfect QB as we've ever seen in the NFL (who can also play). I wish he was better at processing and adjusting to Spags' pressure packages, but at least some portion of that falls on coaching and the weekly toolbox he's provided.

Ward DOES have a super fast release and a live arm. So "meh" is not how I'd describe him as a prospect. I don't study college fb enough to go beyond traits with much confidence. How's his pocket presence and manipulation? I think pocket presence is a more and more important indicator these days, as physically talented guys who can't play under pressure or escape a pocket without bailing out the back door are no bueno (Geno Smith, Will Levis, etc.). Mahomes, when bothered by pressure/collapsing pockets, regresses in this way from time to time. Drifting backwards was a big tendency in college. (Unfortunately he's learned to overcome that tendency more often than not.)
