TSW 1.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #62?

Please vote for who you would like to see the Bills select at pick 62.  The players provided in the poll are the top 15 available based upon rankings at ESPN and CBS.  As the poll progresses, low vote getters will be removed until we have a final 3-5 options.

I could almost be convinced to take Elric of Ayombone... I mean, Elic Ayomanor here except for Bond and Royals are on the poll instead? If there's a guy in the draft who might be Rashee Rice, he looks like he can be.

 

The guys at DT who I like for playing next to Oliver instead of backing him up - Jordan Phillips, Zeek Biggers, CJ West, et al, they aren't really a value at this position and aren't in the poll. A trade-down candidate position, maybe?

 

Among the Edges if we were going that direction, Kyle Kennard is someone who fits a need for a speed end and won the Nagurski this past year, similarly Ashton Gillotte. Among the choices here, probably Burch but if it's wide open, he's not who I'm opting for at this slot. Stewart looks like Solomon with t-rex arms, Ivey is if you want to do the Basham thing again - too slow for edge, doubt he'll hold up inside and where is he on the depth chart anyway if he is.

 

Just feels like the 4-5 guys I'd want here aren't here.

 

Edit: those guys - Elic Ayomanor, Kyle Kennard, Ashton Gillotte, Jordan Phillips, CJ West. Those are probably my top picks for the Bills. Maybe even Marcus Mbow as a projected IOL.

I voted Jordan Burch.  His production doesn't always match his traits which are first round caliber.  The Bills will have to judge if he can be coached up.  The productivity seems to be due more to technique than effort.  It is the end of the second round.  You're not getting a flawless prospect here.  I declined on the DTs.  All are undersized for 1 tech, just more of what Buffalo has already.  What they lack is a big bodied dude who is not over the hill and can be relied on to improve run defense as well as free up the 3 techs to create havoc.  Another offensive tackle or double up on safety?  Give me a break.  Not interested in a guard before round 6.  I wouldn't mind Bond or Royals.

Royals is by far the highest rated prospect on my board from the choices available. And I have Jaylin Noel rated just about the same as Royals...

 

The only other guy I'm interested in at that spot is Norman-Lott because he is one of the best pass rushing DT's in this Draft...

 

I get that folks are getting hung up on needs. And the Bills do have needs at DT. But if the board falls like this you can steal one of these WR's who are flat out better prospects IMHO than a guy like Farmer who I see as more of a late 3rd - early 4th DT... I really think folks are sleeping on some of these WR's... This may not be a top heavy WR class but it's DEEP in the 2nd tier. My personal preference for the Bills specifically has been Dont'e Thornton... But if I'm going to follow my board I have to take Royals or Noel here... Both would top off this Bills WR room in a big way.

I say BPA again which in my understanding is either Bond or Ayomanor. In addition, they fill a need. Latter is not in the poll, so I voted Bond.

I voted Bond. Prior to last season he looked like he would be a 1st. He has a skillset that the Bills still need and plays a position of dire need. I don’t think Farmer is great. Obviously the Bills have spent a lot of time with him but that’s not a reason to take him. Bond to me, is the best player, at a position of need. Beyond that, his skillset within that position is the skillset that the Bills need as opposed to another 3T.
