KingBoots8 Posted Tuesday at 03:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:08 PM (edited) I played in a youth soccer league and wore #8 before LJ was alive. I am suing him now as well. I also wore 4 and 12, so those are mine too. …pay James Cook so I can get some of that money 😘 Edited Tuesday at 03:09 PM by KingBoots8 Quote
B-Man Posted Tuesday at 03:27 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:27 PM Lamar's timing with the #8 trademark attempt is pretty damn funny. Quote
MR8 Posted Tuesday at 05:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:02 PM Lamar is such a narcissistic bozo... I thank God every time I see that dudes name come up that we have Allen and not him. Quote

Billy Claude Posted Thursday at 09:13 PM Posted Thursday at 09:13 PM (edited) Lamar Jackson isn't trying to trademark the number 8, Jackson (or more likely his lawyers) was contesting a particular form that Earnhardt was trying to trademark. In fact, Earnhardt said that it was a backup that they submitted in case they couldn't get the form of 8 they wanted. Since Earnhardt got the trademark for the 8 he wanted, he has already withdrawn his second submission. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/motorsports/dale-earnhardt-jr-explains-why-he-gave-up-trademark-to-lamar-jackson-so-quickly/ar-AA1CCCw2 This stuff happens all the time. They're not really going to trademark the number either. The image of the number, art, etc. It's just not fun to be thinking like that. 1 Quote

Right, the story is trying make it sound like Jackson's trying to do something ridiculous when it is something pretty standard. But like you said, however, it's more fun to make fun of Jackson.
