It should be Miami. They have the best offense. They always start out well and fade at the end of the year. It seemed Tyrek Hill quit in the team at the end. Any news on him? I think Miami’s problem is they lack depth. As the year goes on and the injuries pile up, they don’t have quality back ups.
The Patriots should be much improved. They have their quarterback and Vrabel is a proven coach. They have a ton of cap room and have added better players. I just hope it takes a while for the team to learn their new coaches ways.

The Jets will finish last. We will see if the owner and fans will be patient and allow the new coach to build a team the right way. Without a good young qb they aren’t going anywhere.

Personally, I think Miami still.  The Jets are gonna be bad for a bit still, and while the Patriots have made some nice moves, and have promise at the QB position…a contract like the one they just gave Diggs is what bad franchises do.  During our 17 years we made many like that.

Miami still has some firepower on offense, a good coach, I think most years they’re a 9 win team.

So.. I Moderate podcasts on social media.. Not just Bills.. Every team in this division..

So yea,, I am going to answer it from their prospective.

Miami Fans are very concerned about this year compared to prior.

1. They just lost Terron Armstead Pro tackle to retirement this week.. His PFF Grade last year was 89.4.

2. Miami has to many needs headed towards the draft. Even if they pick up older vets before or after draft to plug and fill.. they are lacking talent on both lines and Secondary.

3. Miami Fans are LIVID about their GM..  not happy at all...

4. Tua is not only proven he is injury prone but proven he does not perform well in cold.

Jets Fans feel like instead of getting an old proven star at QB... That their team some how will give REBIRTH to Fields.

This is how their fanbase is.

1. Jets plugged lots of holes this offseason. We all know their defense is Solid

2. Aaron Glenn new HC I think is going to turn things around on the field and will lead that team playing smarter regular season games.

3. I think the Jets did just enough on Offense where the balance on that team will be better and they will win more games this year.

4. The Jets offensive line is STILL VERRY SUSPECT!  Fields mobility will help.. but Jets need to double if not triple down on their OL in Draft.

Patriots Fans also feel REVIVED! They feel Diggs will help get the best they can get out of Drake Maye.. .. Thats all I am saying about Diggs lol

1. Patriots also filled a ton of holes but their fan base is very delusional in my opinion of the fact that they HAD so many holes to fill..

2. To the Patriot fan base.. they feel they hit the lottery this off season but in reality.. it was just filling holes with talent that they needed in the first place.

3. All that being said.. The holes they filled? was not with all average or old Talent.. that team did very well getting "Better" across the board.

4. Everything with NE is going to depend on their QB.. Break out season? WATCH OUT! also.. Watch out for that next step .. big floor with hole in ground

Personal opinion after all the hours I have spent on podcasts live or just as a mod...

Miami Takes a half step back this year..

Jets take a big step up with Patriots.

Jets, Miami, NE split their W/L records with each other..

Bills will NOT sweep the entire Division this year... though we are still Miles ahead of them, the Bills wont play perfect cause you know...

a division game is a division game..

Bills Win Division (obviously)

Jets, Miami, Patriots all have chances of winning 8-10 games.. but will crumble against each other this season..

#2. Jets >>>> Reason?  Their Defense won't be on the field all game long this season and that makes them more dangerous.

#3 + #4 Patriots and Miami

After Buffalo.. this division will play tight and competitive all season long.

I have to think it’s between Miami and the Pats.  As of right now, I haven’t seen the Pats on the field, so I’m going Miami.  Proven QB, can score and will rack up wins early in the year.  I expect the Pats to start slower and come on more in the back half of the year.

They would be lucky to get a day 2 pick back, having spent a first on him 3 years ago. He is a brilliant straight line runner. But he lacks vision and he doesn't have the short area quick feet that allow him to adjust to what is ahead of him and create where holes don't exist.

Agreed. Now if its Cook for Wilson then that is a different story. Trades within the division rarely happen especially with really good players.

The Jets will be bad, Dolphins are moving in the wrong direction, so maybe the Patriots by default. I saw Kraft interviewed at the owners meeting, he thinks you can just put together a dynasty. This from the guy that hired Mayo. I’m not a big believer in Vrabel. Pats may come in second, but won’t make the playoffs.

Jets WILL be bad?😳 When since Namath haven’t they?🤔

You’re missing the Vrabel effect.

He is a good coach and will make a difference for them. It’s disappointing that he went there.

It's the first move by any Division rival in at least the last 5 years that made me go "ah crap, that might be a problem someday".

To be fair they had some good runs along the way. Mid 80's with Ken O'Brien as their QB. Rex got them to the AFCCG in back-to-back years. Most of the time they have sucked. You could have said the same about the Bills before McDermott and Beane got here.

Unlike Cook who has great vision and can see holes that 80% of RB's don't !

I have thought on this long and hard.

The safe answer to me is Miami because right now I think their offense is better and Tua is better than Maye. In the NFL better offenses see better outcomes then a good defense. The Patriots are going to improve and their defense is to me 2nd best in division at this point. So much hinges on Maye taking a real step and if they can add some true talent to the offense. The Dolphins have been a team floating around .500 for a few years now (by a game or two either way) so nothing is saying they move much from there even if they are 10-7.

But New England is a very attractive darkhorse playoff bet to me.

Really like your perspective so wanted to add some discourse:

Miami- They have basically been a .500 team 5 years now. IF Tua is healthy and at his best they can win 11, but like you said they have a lot of whole and Grier has biffed it hard as GM. My question to you is if they take a half step back and go 7-10 do they move on from McDaniel too? At times he is brilliant and other times seems like a one trick pony. They remind me of the Bills with Tyrod where you knew the floor and ceiling was in the middle and with good talent and luck they could be a playoff team, but they were never a real threat. If I was a Phins fan not sure how excited I'd be.

Jets- Honestly I am not very sold on Glenn or the Jets. The defense thrived under Saleh and has not looked good before or after. They seem to have a lot of holes all over and defensive performance varies year to year even if you have a solid defense. I am not sure the Jets win more then 6 games although they are closer in them as Glenn shows more competency in game mgmt decisions. Maybe you could tell me the greatest strength of their roster, because outside of Wilson & Sauce they seem pretty barren?

Patriots- Vrabel as a coach is big because he will create a better culture and game mgmt then they had last year. I love that you said filling holes does not necessarily mean improvement. It reminds me of the 2021 offseason where the Pats spent a ton of money but did it truly make them that much better. Milton is legit but the remainder are older formerly talented guys like Banks & Landry. Vrabel will certainly get the best out of them, but they are more likely a band aid then the actual remedy. I wouldn't be surprised if Diggs goes 900-1000 yards and has a solid year... it also really doesn't matter if Maye can't take a step into the next level. The kid def showed flashes and NE has to have the highest ceiling of the 3 AFC division foes given the unknown of Maye. I think their ability to hit in this draft 3-4 true starters honestly means more to them then a playoff appearance. That mixed with Maye truly growing unlocks a far bigger future.

You know, maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if this happens as long as the Bills get in as a WC.  Maybe in this case the Bills get overlooked, opponents let their guard down a little more than usual, and what follows a the championship run.  I'd take it.

McDermott's teams are winless on the road in the playoffs. I would rather avoid the WC route and try to get the #1 seed.

Well they split with us last year (sort of, against our scrubs)

That doesn't count as the Bills treated it like a preseason game. I do think NE will better as Vrabel is a good coach.
