But I don't see him as a Pro Bowl level too 10 LT that many here seems to. I have him as very average. He does his job but is at times very beatable especially in big moments and commits too many dumb penalties to be a top LT IMO. Underrated - For this year coming up I'm going to say Joey Bosa. Many here already seemingly are writing him off. I'm not. Guy has one year to prove to the NFL that he can stay healthy and be a difference maker as a pass rusher. A lot of these injuries that have kept him off the field are going to be played through this year. He's going to be motivated to wreck games. Plus he's going from playing in front of one of the most laid back and passive fan bases to playing in front of BillsMafia. Players, especially on defense feed off the crowd. He's gonna eat. I'm expecting a solid season from him. Dawkins footwork and hand fighting has really improved. Every o line man gets beat occasionally. He is pro bowl level and our whole o line works well together. It is amazing how teams like balmer get 10 pro bowlers and we get scraps. 1 Quote
OldTimer1960 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Underrated: Rousseau- I think he is a very good all around DE. Spencer Brown, too. Just a year or so ago the TBD pitchforks were out for him. overrated: I don’t have vote here - we are pretty tough fans to please. Honorable mention to the annual pre-season WR hero. 1 Quote

A perfect and reliable outlet for Josh, but he's really just another solid Slot WR. I think Bills fans put him on a pedestal like he's something more than what he really is. "In the NFL, Khalil Shakir of the Buffalo Bills holds the record for the highest single-season catch rate among wide receivers with at least 40 targets since 1992, with a 93.3% catch rate in 2024" "His 2023 catch percentage of 86.7% is also among the highest." "That said, it’s not as though he’s reeling in passes and falling to the turf, as his average yards after catch per reception of 8.5 yards is good for fourth among wideouts in the same target criteria." "More than what he really is" - I mean if you ask me, that's uhhh, pretty high level / elite stuff. Unsure how this is overrated but go on. If anything, you thinking he's overrated just proves how underrated the guy really is. Edited April 5 by warrior9 1 1 Quote

They are repeated almost a a knee jerk pace whenever anyone hints anything negative about Dawkins. Same exact bullet points with zero substance to back it up. Thing about a thread like this is it's opinion based. You're more than welcome to yours. I'll stick with mine. Like I said, I'm not saying he's a bad player. He's just not as good as many here claim him to be, IMO. 1 1 Quote

Bills fans sometimes act like he’s a top 10 receiver. He’s a more explosive Beasley. Shakir is a high end role player. He’s not an elite receiver. 2 Quote

The guy is a super run blocker. He almost always locks onto his guy and takes the guy out. I think he is unbelievable in his technique and his assignment detail. Why isn't he used more, then? He played 139 snaps over the course of 20 games last season. That's under seven offensive plays a game. Quote

We know he's not an outside receiver. He's an elite slot receiver that comes up big time after time for this team. That's far from overrated. The numbers speak for themselves. You are quite literally calling him top 5 at his position but also overrated? .... i mean... what? 1 Quote

There are 25 teams that have a better top receiving option than Shakir. That’s not his fault. He’s really good at what he does. He’s still a 76 catch, 821 yard WR that scored 4 times. That’s 40th in yards, 27th in receptions, tied for 62 in TDs, 38th in targets and 84th in YPC. He’s Robin and some treat him as Batman. 3 2 Quote

He's not an outside corner, he's a nickle corner. There are 25 better outside corners than him but not nickles. Edited April 5 by warrior9 Quote
