Bills!Win! Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Our vacation plans for mid may were postponed so my wife figured we would spend the week in Buffalo and do “touristy Buffalo things.” For the natives, give me everything and anything that you can do in the middle of May. I was thinking, stadium tours, Darien lake, hit up all the wing places (I’ve been to duffs but not barbill), Buffalo bisons game, maybe places to walk near the Buffalo riverfront? any and all feedback is appreciated Quote
Just Jack Posted April 4 Posted April 4 (edited) Buffalo City Hall tour, you get to go up on the observation deck for part of it. https://www.visitbuffaloniagara.com/event/buffalo-city-hall-tours See where TR had his official inauguration Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site | Bringing A Legend To Life Drive by the original Bills stadium https://maps.app.goo.gl/o1ERhP6jGXGexaDw6 Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House https://martinhouse.org/ Edited April 4 by Just Jack 1 Quote

Bills!Win! Posted April 4 Author Posted April 4 Are there any bills/Sabres sports stores anywhere in Buffalo (I’m not talking about the store at one bills drive) Quote
US Egg Posted April 4 Posted April 4 (edited) If you have time, and a passport, you should check out the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It’s so much nicer than the American side, and an easy 1/2 hour ride from downtown Buffalo. It’s loaded with fun “touristy” stuff, restaurants, museums, beautiful gardens and more. Everything is close by and near the Rainbow Bridge. You can park on the American side and walk over the Rainbow Bridge right into the heart of the area. https://www.niagarafallstourism.com/ Edited April 4 by US Egg 1 Quote

If you have a passport, is Niagara-on-the-Lake worth the visit? I had a friend in FL who went to visit, and I had to admit I had never been there. He had very positive comments. . Around these parts, pretty much any large supermarket has a respectable amount of team gear. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) AKG Museum https://buffaloakg.org/ Buffalo Zoo https://buffalozoo.org/ Pierce Arrow auto museum https://www.pierce-arrow.com/ Buffalo waterfront & naval park https://buffalowaterfront.com/ Forgotten Buffalo tours happen infrequently but if they have one when you're here, it might be worth taking it in. About four hours, it's a pub crawl with food at some of Buffalo's family taverns. http://www.forgottenbuffalo.com/ Edited April 5 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted April 5 Posted April 5 If you like architecture there is a lot to look at and several frank Lloyd Wright houses that are not the Martin House if you just want to drive by. The sub and battleship on the river are cool. NF is a good pick if you have not seen it, my kids enjoyed it along with us. Quote

Also Bandits (yes) and Sabres (why?) If you're in East Aurora for Bar Bill, less than half a mile away is Milliard Fillmore's Birth Place. Someone mentioned Theodore Roosevelt's Inaugural Site on Delaware Ave. But to get the full experience, Go to Fordham Drive in Buffalo, and in the grassy median is a stone marker, marking the site where President William McKinley was shot. "In the grassy median of Fordham Drive, five houses west of Lincoln Pkwy. When the weather's warm look for the flowers and little American flags." https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/32297 Edit: After searching on Google Maps, it's 30 Fordham Drive.
