It's a short term negotiation tactic, nothing more.

They have openly admitted it’s not a negotiation tactic. So either he’s lying, or he’s making the worst opening move ever.

Actually "they" - the occasional sane person around Trump - are admitting nothing of the sort. They're trying to calm markets by suggesting that it's all a negotiating tactic. Trump is out there saying the tariffs are here to stay.

Contradictory messaging in support of a horrible policy.

My new favorite is Trump's claim that the calamity is intentional.  MAGA will believe anything, so I suspect the movement will buy this nonsense, too.  The guy who measured the economy by the performance of the S&P 500 during his first term now is claiming to have intentionally induced the worst two days in the history of the American stock market.  Only with this fool is such a thing possible.

Can’t have it both ways, fellas.

Trump supporters driving home the fact that we cannot afford to give the 1% another tax cut but here we are.

Everyone except the 1% must suffer.

Extreme late term TDS take considering …

What happened to the market this week

That Trumps income tax plan includes eliminating it for individuals that make under 150K.

That your TDS blinded you so badly that this has been the exact scenario (everyone but the 1 percent suffering) in a post Covid world brought to you by the globalist communist fascist thugs.

tl;dr: The Fed will be forced to print more money to finance the debt, and the ensuing inflation will drive up nominal stock prices.

I think they call that Bidenomics.

Ah yes, the classic 'blame the globalist communist fascist thugs' angle and not the POTUS who was in the office to prevent it. Always a crowd-pleaser. As for the tax plan - sure, eliminating taxes for those making under $150K sounds great but I’m sure the trickle-down theory will totally work this time... just like it always has, right?

That's literally the only reason I voted for him.

“Trump has done something that we don’t agree with, but there’s a reason why people are behind him on this," a Downing Street official said.

"The world has changed, globalisation is over, and we are now in a new era."

In a piece in the Telegraph published on Saturday, Starmer personally made this very argument.

"First it was defence and national security. Now it is the global economy and trade. Old assumptions can no longer be taken for granted. The world as we knew it has gone."

Killed by communists that used their centralized economic power and trade deals to enrich themselves - convince the masses it’s all good because your stuff will be “cheap.”
