billsfan89 Posted Tuesday at 11:56 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:56 PM Cowboys taking on a lot of "projects" with high upside and low costs. Cowboys are such an odd team. They draft well, not a top 5 drafting team but I would say top 10ish. They also take some smart chances on players with upside. I would also say they generally retain most of the players they draft. But they haven't done much in free agency even just finding some decent "starting caliber" players in the mid-level market and the owner does some odd things like take negotiations down to the wire for no reason. The Cowboys also never will get a quality coach because the owner and GM are the same person and won't give a coach the control other owners do. They also have a good QB whose paid like an elite QB which will hurt their roster construction. So despite some strengths (good drafting, owner willing to spend money, and attractive destination) they will always be fatally flawed. 1 Quote
Pecker Posted Thursday at 11:51 AM Posted Thursday at 11:51 AM I was extremely impressed by Milton in our final game this year. I understand the vanilla gameplan and some backup defenders playing. But when he scrambled to his left and threw a perfect pass to a tightly covered WR in or near the end zone - wow. That was a Josh Allen pass. Meaning the only other player in the league who could make that throw was our own JA. milton had a number of incredibly great plays in that game. if I were a GM, I’d have re evaluated Milton as a rookie and tried to trade for him too. Cleveland, for example, should have traded for him. Give him a year or two to start while you clear the Watson contract. well worth a 5th, I’d have gone higher Quote
