boco357 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Some fans thought they were getting a 2nd rounder, ha. For those who forget he lit up our "defense" in finale. Edited 19 hours ago by boco357 2 Quote
mannc Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago This makes absolutely no sense for NE. Why do this? So Josh Dobbs can be your backup? Did Milton and Maye not get along? 2 4 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I wanted him really bad last year as a development back up to Allen. It may have been against 2nd and 3rd reamers against us last year but he looked really good in live action. Read the field well and the moment wasn't too big for him. It's a good get for Dallas at a low price 4 10 Quote
balln Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Yea dumb move for ne. A 4th. Or two 5th maybe to develop roster. Drake maye is the guy. So I can see it Quote

But its also hard to tell at this point. He is 6'5 250 runs a 4.5 40 and has a rocket arm. Dallas probably should have just drafted him but if you can get him for a 5th round pick and he has already been through an NFL season, its not a bad move. There are far less talented kids who will be drafted in the 5th round this year and not make opening day squads. 3 Quote
DJB Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I wish we would have offered them a 4th. Pointless trade by the Patriots unless he and May hated each other. Trading a young , talented quarterback with potential for a late pick is dumb 3 Quote
zow2 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago How long was Milton in New England's program? What is the rush to trade him. Quote

mikemac2001 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Ya dumb move by NE but I love this for Dallas makes sense for them and gives Milton a chance if dak goes down again Quote

That doesn't seem like a bad trade. Quote

Yeah I think it's the above statement. His value is as high as it will get probably. I also think that NE is eliminating competition. Everytime Maye screws up, fans and Boston paper will be pining for Milton. Now he's gone. I don't agree with it, because competition breeds success. But I get it. 1 Quote

But I get it. I also think you get better game preparation with a seasoned backup QB. His measureables and arm talent don't really do a whole lot on the bench behind a 23 year old starting QB. If you keep Milton behind Dobbs it hurts roster flexibility to have 3 QBs, and he probably doesn't clear waivers to the PS. For dallas it gives them a cheap 3 year backup QB you can continue to develop behind your veteran starter. Good point... it didn't really work out for buffalo either so i could see why they didn't get as much. 1 1 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Milton is an absolute stud. Doesn’t matter that we had backups and a vanilla defense. His poise and accuracy and throws on the run were elite in that game. To get a guy with that upside for a 5th, is a steal. No risk for the cowboys. 1 1 1 Quote
