All_Pro_Bills Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago This tariff thing is a 2nd step in a reset of the global financial system. The first step was central banks allocating more of their reserves to gold. It would be wise for investors to follow the bankers actions. They're always properly positioning themselves to mitigate risks. Instead of moaning and groaning about the impact of tariffs adjust to a new set of arrangements. Or lose your ass going forward. 1

So Donald Trump is qualified to take the world economy into the "2nd step" of a global financial reset? 2 1

But tariffs……… Oh for chrissakes, the gold standard is never coming back. You can’t gimp your economy by tying it down to shiny rocks. 2

stevestojan Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I guess the tag line “everything you buy will be more expensive and your 401k will be destroyed” isn’t as impactful to morons as "When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on day one." (Aug 2024.) I suppose most of his uneducated base doesn’t even have a 401k so this “correction” won’t impact them, but I for one am sick of all this “winning.” Can’t wait to see how the MAGAs are going to defend him as they decide if they want to buy groceries or make their car payment. 2 3 1

And gold is far from a safe investment. Individuals are not banks. They need steady returns. But to 78% of the population, all that matters is that their pay lasts til the next paycheck. Tariffs are going to make that harder and gold isn't going to help. https://247wallst.com/personal-finance/2025/01/07/how-many-americans-have-saved-at-least-100k-for-retirement-it-may-be-more-than-you-think/ give it a few months and when ends stop meeting, so will support for maga. 2

Just like the tea party movement which MAGA absorbed, these right groups will always self destruct. Then in 10-15 years we will see them flair up again after years of "persecution". You cant add a tariff to zero. There are plenty of valid concerns that opponents of this could express, no need to add things that can easily be disputed and explained. The economy didn’t begin on January 20, 2025. Inflation didn’t begin that day. Our debt didn’t begin that day. The people that got us here - Covidians - should consider social distancing from any political discourse. 1

Agreed. but in the meantime, they will do plenty of damage. and then be fooled again in a few years. trump is offering magic solutions and others will too. If it's too good to be true...
