Those penguins are some deceitful MFers.  Probably commies, too.  They're responsible for a lot of the dumping of fish that has hurt our oceanic industries.

But you should have known that trump would do this right? I mean he literally campaigned on going out onto the rose garden with a price is right board and applied tariffs to islands such as La reunion which I didn’t even know could export stuff and an island full of penguins.

And why? Because penguin island and La reunion have been pillaging and raping America for all its resources and finally, a fraudster who bankrupted casinos is going to stand up for the little guy who wants to go back to working in factories with terrible conditions to make tshirts and sneakers.

So tired of winning!

There have been conmen like trump throughout the ages. What has changed is the number of idiots that are easily fooled. How do you fix that?

Maybe you don’t ? Maybe this is like in sim city when at one point you get bored, turn on cheat mode and you let the earthquakes and aliens destroy your city to start over

In this case, it’s the orange menace that causes the destruction.

I was thinking more about a more lethal vaccine preventable disease…

Yep:

First, the stock market was overvalued and a correction was coming. You can tell because it lost 3000 points in two days. It indicates to me the values were soft….

WOW! Anything to defend orange man, huh? This is so far from Occam's razor that if I didn’t know better from your post history, I would think you were joking. It lost 3000 points in two days because that obese turd did what he did.

And to the earlier part of your post - we understand unrealized gains/losses. You know who doesn’t give a *****? The guy who was planning to retire this year. But I’m sure he’ll take solace from the fact that Big Blitz thought he 401k was overvalued anyway.

I honestly can’t believe we still have so many people who will defend these actions. It’s pathetic how much you gargle a failed businessman.

No one in the history of the earth has done more economic damage in one week. It is now likely that a Trump recession is coming. This is economic suicide. This is winning for MAGA.

We’ve discussed this here already.  You only jumped on board once the correction happened bc Trump bad.

It’s P/E ratio

I’ve highlighted a couple level-driven periods

this next chart: the current rally, which started in early 2014, and the two months in 1929 with P/E above the 25 level. The current period is within the same neighborhood as both the tech bubble and the 1929 periods, all with P/E above 25 and is certainly in the zone of "irrational exuberance".

U.S. stock valuations do appear high. As of August 5th, the forward price‑to‑earnings (P/E) ratio for the S&P 500 stood at 19.7 times earnings, still significantly higher than the 25‑year average of 16.4. The U.S. market also looked expensive when compared with other regional markets

Yep.  The “big beautiful bill” will remind everyone - where else you investing your money?  Where else would you want to invest.

France?  Britain?  And other Euro trash countries?  Lol lol

You invest here.  In the U.S.  Because we will no longer be on the path to a bad investment like California.

This isn’t even about the stock market, the business uncertainty alone is going to kill the economy.  It has already had a detrimental effect here in Canada but it will also impact America.

Actually not the arguments made by posters here or by their favorite shite bloggers.  but if you listened to Navarro Thursday, you'd be a bigger loser.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/the-many-ways-trump-world-is-explaining-the-markets-tariff-tantrum-115549905.html

Some have suggested that the transitory effects are already receding, with Navarro noting Thursday afternoon on CNBC that he used to commentate on market moves and temporarily putting back on his pundit hat to say that technicians are suggesting "we are at or near bottom; they're probably right."

But stocks fell even more sharply on Friday as comments like those from Powell increasingly made clear Trump's planned tariffs are exceeding expectations.

Their economic effects, Powell said, "will include higher inflation and slower growth."

Other economic observers have worried that the economy is dangerously close to a recession after the bigger-than-expected tariff rollout of recent days.

"Hang tough," President Trump shot back on Friday. "We can't lose."

It'd be funny were it not so terrible.

Even tho I know he's right, I like what he's doing the most because it triggers the dumbest people in America.

A beautiful sight to behold watching this.
