stevestojan Posted Friday at 06:53 PM Posted Friday at 06:53 PM Love where this thread is going. Let’s start talking about how many votes Martin Van Buren got.

B-Man Posted Saturday at 12:29 AM Posted Saturday at 12:29 AM Back to the thread Trump is already winning his trade war with China. “Behind the global economic chaos provoked by president Trump’s tariff tsunami, there are growing indications of a strategic purpose. It is now conceivable that plunging into, and then retreating from, a generalised trade war was actually a deliberate means to a truly geostrategic end: to thwart China’s ambition to replace the US as the dominant world superpower. . . . In this light, the suspension of tariff combat for 90 days with most countries, while doubling down on the levies imposed on China, leaves Beijing isolated and in the firing line.” https://uk.news.yahoo.com/trump-tariffs-left-xi-jinping-191144075.html? Do tell.

Do you know how impossible that will be for those who this truly impacts - the poor and lower middle class. They shop at one place as much as any - Walmart. And SIXTY percent of everything in that store it made in…. wait for it … CHINA. I assume you just want them to “toughen up” and forget that they are currently deciding between groceries (an old fashioned term according to Trump) and their car payment, and on top of that shop at local businesses that make everything (soup to nuts in the supply chain) in America. Problem with that? Those items are multiples more expensive. For example, I go to my local farmers market every weekend and this Saturday I bought a nice pen from a vendor who makes them right here. Paid $33 for it. You think the family of five who just wants to get pens for their kids’ backpacks are going to do that? No, they will go to Walmart and buy a 10 pack of whatever they can, and those will be made in China. And they will now be double the price. That’s ONE example. A pen. Now extrapolate that to every item they need to survive (or maybe thrive, but I don’t want to get greedy). Until we have pen factories - and a factory that makes every consumer good that family needs , and to scale so prices are similar to what they could get before, this does nothing but HURT the average American. But according to MAGA, “just don’t buy stuff made in China.” If that was truly the goal, the orange freak would have made sure we had at least SOME of the infrastructure in place before the tariffs. Look through your house and throw away everything made in China or that any part of the supply chain touched China. You’d shouldn’t be - but you would - surprised at the amount. Do I think “everything made in America” sounds great? I mean, I guess. But at what cost? A decade of pain for the core group that voted for Drumpf and then were left with what? A plethora of blue collar jobs that still pay multiples of what we pay China, and prices are still higher. But at least - after a decade - they have a job making pens - for $20/hr. But like you said, it’s simple, just don’t buy anything from China…. There is way too much here to respond to fully but no I am not trolling. I don't think it's a lot to ask from your country to look at a few labels on goods. I also don't think it's a lot for your government to ask to "toughen up" a bit while they try to restore America as the world's leader in manufacturing. And just for the record I think if someone is struggling to pay for groceries they are the last person that should have a frickin car payment.

Correct? 5.8 over a ten year period while reducing 194 billion in government spending and eliminating $880 billion in taxes on overtime pay. The addition of debt isn't good but it isn't owed to an outside country. Can you please now explain to me the benefit of owing money to China? 22 hours ago, Trump_is_Mentally_fit said: That we don't vote for sex offenders, criminals and con men? So both bad and good. Can you please now explain to me the benefit of owing money to China? What is owing money to China? Are you talking about the $750 billion in US Treasury securities they own or do you mean the products we purchase from China?

Why would you expect it to be fixed in the blink of an eye? So should we just not try and bring back American manufacturing? Right. So Chinese electronics stay untouched, Big Tech gets its loopholes, and we’re supposed to believe this was ever about American jobs? Please. It’s all smoke and mirrors - another fake ‘America First’ act that sells out workers while greasing the wheels for the same billionaires. They’re not bringing jobs back - they’re bringing the con full circle.

It’s unfortunate the third world ***t holes know the West is an utter disaster killing itself from within - all they have to do is wait for the next Commie moron to get elected in France or Britain or here in the U.S. to get what they want knowing the division in the Western countries has reached such critical mass - one side can’t even tell you what a woman is anymore. Just hold out a couple years and hope they elect your next lackey. But this has been gamed out. I’m rooting for our team. You might as well put the CCP flag in your Profile pic. You’ve sided with them since 2020.
