Henry made $8m per year, on a 1 yr prove it contract.

That's like saying Saquon isn't worth his money, after he played on a 1 year proce it deal.

Henry signed for 2025?

Expand

He was signed last year by the Ravens to a two year contract.

I know, my point was for people to stop looking at these "prove it deals", as some comparison for Cook.  Barkley had the same/similar with Philly--- now he's getting paid.

And my point on 2025, was for people to notice Henry is taking up $12-13m in cap space.  Aav means squat, cap and gtd $ is the true story.

Again, if we want to compare Cook- go find a young / top 10ish RB, entering year 4 with his stats.  Not many.  And as I've said numerous times, the aav is just a tabloid for agents to gloat....gtd $s is the true benchmark.

I disagree with what you're saying.

Henry did not play on a 1 year deal.  Henry got a 2 year $16M deal according to Spotrac.  Nothing really prove it about it, people here were talking about whether the Bills should make a bid.

Similarly Saquon was not playing on a one year deal.  He had signed a 3 year $37.75 contract.

Welp, that's that for Watt in Pittsburgh. The Steelers GM needs to teach this young punk a lesson and trade him before the draft. How dare he post anything on social media. Probably has his troublesome brother in his ear. He isnt even a 3-down DE anyways.

I know this is a joke, but I would love for us to trade for him... maybe give them Cook straight up🤣

The closer to the draftwe get, I would like to see him traded for a quality pick or picks.

You forget that the Bills will have opportunity to do his deal if they want. Also he will probably provide the Bills with a third or fourth round compensatory pick if he leaves.

I don't want an end of Round comp pick.  I would rather have another 2ndround or 3rd round this year

Philly also just gave Saquan an extension and a pay raise.   Baltimore is seeking to extend Henry for 2025 and beyond, too.

Saquan's season is light years ahead of what Cook did, not really a good comparison.

Henry is already under contract for 2025, if they extend him it would be for future years.  And yes, Cook should be interested in what Henry gets.

The Bills are highly unlikely to land a second rounder for a RB. Best case is a conditional 3rd round pick.

Particularly if this draft has a lot of good RBs. A RB needy team probably wouldn't need to trade for Cook.

There are a lot of teams that Cook piled up the yardage would give a 2nd.  He is more well regarded than many of this board think.  Still think he will be a Bill this year.

I know you have a soft spot for Georgia players but there is no way Cook lands a 2nd. The guy is entering the last year of his contract. If he does, build a statue for Beane.

You are prolly right because of the last year thing, but he’s a top 10 RB and can do things that are elite.  Hope he stays, and yes I’ve liked him since UGA.
