GunnerBill Posted Tuesday at 05:25 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:25 PM Camarda was pretty good his first two seasons. From what I understand he struggled some in pre-season last year and was out of sync with his coverage teams and it seemed to get into his head and he started miskicking balls when the real games began. If he can get his confidence and technique back I think he is more than good enough. Quote
DCofNC Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM Why couldn’t we draft some sort of Punt God and be set for years? 1 1 Quote

Actually Punt God showed terrible control on his kicks as he rarely pinned teams inside the 20 as all too often his punts were touchbacks. As his net average was 8 yards less than his gross. Great leg but needs to work on more hang time and/or forcing the opposition to return the punt. 1 1 Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM We have Allen. I thought we moved past the dark days of Brian Moorman being our best player. Who cares about punters? Easiest job in pro sports. Zero pressure. Quote

He seems to outkick his coverage and doesn't have that savvy, which was a concern coming out. Jake Camarda was a much better prospect coming out, so if he makes it for us, the whole Araiza saga comes full circle in a way that feels somewhat okay with me. Quote

Hopefully his ST in KC never figures out to get him out of it. 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted yesterday at 06:37 PM Posted yesterday at 06:37 PM And just to add to the punt discussion, Miami signed Ryan Stonehouse. So there will be a competition between he and Jake Bailey. If this Camarda-Robbins battle does not work out, one of those two guys likely shakes loose. Dolphins new special team coach comes from the Titans, so it seems likely that Bailey is gone with some cap savings as well. Quote

It was what I disliked about him before everything that happened. Out kicking coverage is a major issue for him. He has zero hang time. Quote

We could also take a Punter with one of those low 5ths/early 6th picks we have clustered together. Eddie Czaplicki is a guy I like. 1 Quote
