He's showing the offense we're going to be terrible at punting so we better convert our 3rd downs.... And help McDermott's decision to go for it on 4th down. Quote

Big Turk Posted Monday at 10:05 PM Posted Monday at 10:05 PM Bills sure love signing average punters 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted Monday at 10:19 PM Posted Monday at 10:19 PM David Shannahan, left footer, former Gaelic footballer. Checks some boxes. But to me this is Camarda’s job to lose. Beane did say they were very high on him in the draft. He had two really good years and struggled this year and was cut. He’s a great athlete and there is upside there. Robbins feels like a nothing burger. Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted Monday at 10:20 PM Posted Monday at 10:20 PM (edited) It's interesting that he's bringing in multiple Drafted young Punter's. Sometimes it takes Punters years before they get it down. And both these guys were given up on fairly quickly. I like the approach. If there was enough talent there in College to get Drafted when the vast majority of Punters go Undrafted and they're that young and given up on under questionable circumstances - you may hit on something. I had thought with Camarda being the only Punter on the roster that we may Draft another with one of our later Day 3 Picks. Maybe they still do and the first leg of the competition is Mini Camp. Between 2-3 Drafted level Punter's, you're probably going to land on one that's good. Edited Monday at 10:21 PM by BillsFanForever19 2 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted Monday at 10:37 PM Posted Monday at 10:37 PM Wooo two highly drafted punters who have failed in the NFL. Start the competition Quote

ControllerOfPlanetX Posted Monday at 11:59 PM Posted Monday at 11:59 PM Draft Two punters, have 4 on the roster. This will make opposing teams spend a lot of time during game week preparation , not knowing who is going to punt. Quote

He held over 150 kicks.. he had seven times the laces were in.. that's about average with most NFL long snappers There's never been a punter who was good at punting who was fired for being bad at holding True, but we did have the opposite situation in Matt Haack who signed a 1.035 million dollar contract, which I remember saying at the time was surely broken into two components based on the eye test: Punting - 35k Holding - 1 mil Quote

But meh punters most important is to have a consistent holder for Bass other than that I'll take what we can get. I'd rather bring back the QB who holds kicks so that we can credibly fake it on occasion. Quote

GolfandBills Posted yesterday at 08:30 AM Posted yesterday at 08:30 AM Well looks like Jake Camarda is the new punter Quote

Logic Posted yesterday at 05:15 PM Posted yesterday at 05:15 PM I really wish they'd shelled out the (nominal) money required to sign Ryan Stonehouse. Oh well. Onto the Camarda vs Robbins puntapalooza. Truth is, for a team that punts is infrequently as the Bills, it just doesn't matter that much. Quote
