With the 44th pick in the 2025 NFL draft the Dallas Cowboys select...

Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

You know what they say.  Take care of the skill positions first and then build your o-line.  After taking a WR in the first round we were thrilled that Humphrey dropped to us here as he reminds us of a cross between Emmitt Smith and Zeke Elliott.  We will probably pay him top of the market value on the day of our season opener in 2028.

The Colts @CNYfan are now on the clock.

Yea to me this is the best pick of the draft with the Jets Loveland pick. Both those guys are going top 20 and to get them at 42 and 44 is more about too many focusing on need vs taking a very good player. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Hampton goes 12 to the Cowboys

I'd be shocked if Hampton fell this far in the real draft.  I wouldn't be surprised if three RB's go in the first round (Jeanty, Hampton, Henderson) with the way the NFL is trending.

Why are we doing three rounds when we have no third round pick?

Good practice if Cook gets traded.

The Colts came into the draft hoping to bring help to their embattled QB, Anthony Richardson.   But the Colts need help all over the field including at "will LB".  The player who they like was still available and a value here, so the Colts select Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA.   The Indy brain trust was very much divided at this point as there was much discussion and dissonance on where they were on offense, but eventually with an A grade CB in the 1st round and a strong prospect now to shore the up the inept LBing corps, the die was cast for Schwesinger, with a view to Offense in the next rounds.

I like him a lot. Risky in terms of 1 year production but he really pops on film.

With the 46th pick in the 2025 NFL draft the Atlanta Falcons select...

Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State.

Drain-clogging run defender with violent first contact and nimble feet for impressive tackle production. Williams flashes an ability to play through or around the block. He physically dominates man-on-man matchups but inconsistent pad level and shorter arms hinder his double-team take-ons. He needs to focus on developing his hands to keep longer NFL guards from getting into him and neutralizing his power. Williams should pressure the pocket from time to time but might not win on his own enough to see many third-down reps. The knock-back pop and ability to eat up runners in his general vicinity could help him become an impactful, run-stuffing three-technique.

With the 47th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, The Arizona Cardinals select:

MIKE GREEN DE MARSHALL

GM Take:

We are clearly going BPA here as we have gone back to back on Edge players in the draft with both Pearce and now Green. There are other holes but this duo with Josh Sweat will instantly strike fear into opposing teams when it comes to our pass rush. I have a first round grade on Green and he will not be forced to be an every down player early for Arizona.

Dolphins 2nd round pick

With the 48th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft The Miami Dolphins select:

Donovan Jackson, Ohio State, G. For a team that can be competitive when Tua is playing it is imperative they protect him as much as possible. The Dolphins have needs all over the OL. Jackson should start immediately. He has a Wyatt Teller comparison.

With 8 picks left they look to fill our many remaining needs/holes.

@HappyDays and the Bengals are now on the clock.

With the 49th pick, the Bengals select Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss. Seahawks @Logic are on the clock.

This is our second pick in a row that feels like a no brainer. Despite Trey Hendrickson leading the NFL in sacks with 17.5 last year, as a team we ranked 24th at just 2.1 sacks per game. Hendrickson's future with the team is uncertain. Other than him we have Joseph Ossai who has developed into nothing more than a rotational depth level player.

Umanmielen projects as a pass rush specialist in the NFL. He has a solid frame and great length, and natural speed and bend to get around the edge. And we aren't just betting on traits - he collected 10.5 sacks his final year at Ole Miss so the production matches the profile.

For those interested, at least according to these rankings, it looks like CB might have been the correct choice in the first round as there is a lot of d-line talent available here and not so much secondary help.

It’s gonna make sense in the real one too when there are 25 DL arguably in the top 100 and maybe a bakers dozen at CB the smart play is taking one at 30 or after a trade down

This is one of the reasons why I wanted a DB with our 30 pick.  The DB talent is no where near as deep as the DL talent.  I would ideally love to see the Bills package their two 2nd round picks to move back up into the 1st and get both a legit DB and DT.  Honestly, after those two holes, all picks in the 4th and beyond were going to be for depth anyways.

With the 50th pick in the 2025 TSW Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The best strategy when it comes to the draft is to take the best player available, and Benjamin Morrison was sticking out like a sore thumb.

While we like our current cornerback rotation, the only corner under contract after 2025 is Devon Witherspoon. Thinking one year ahead is an important virtue in the draft. With that in mind, Morrison is a perfect addition for us. Were it not for his injury and subsequent surgery, we think he would've been drafted much higher. We can afford to let him fully recover, though, with an eye toward the future and toward solidifying our cornerback room for the long term.

With outstanding ball production (9 interceptions in 31 games), good size, and a willingness to attack the ball at the catch point, we think Morrison will be a valuable addition to Mike McDonald's diverse defense, and are thrilled that he was available at pick 50.

@warrior9 and the Denver Broncos are now on the clock.

I actually pick again right after Warrior and the Broncos, so I'll be ready to go with my pick the second he makes his.
