With the 22nd pick in the 2025 TSW Mock Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama.

 

Though fans may clamor for a flashier pick at WR, TE, or Edge, the Chargers fix their biggest weakness. Zion Johnson has been very bad and interior pass protection was a key factor in the most recent playoff loss. Zion Johnson has been rumored to be moved to Center, Mechi Becton was signed to shore up RG and now we add the best OL in the draft to fill LG. Things are finally turning up Chargers!

 

The Green Bay Packers and @EmotionallyUnstable are now on the clock.

With the 23rd pick the Green Bay Packers select Shavon Revel Jr., CB East Carolina.

 

Injury concerns have the lengthy dog of a CB falling out of the first, but we already had Shavon in for a top 30 visit and feel too good about his long term upside. Needs at DL had us wanting to go to the trenches, although recent early picks haven’t paid off in the way we’d like to see. Revel could be a stud corner with high upside that fills an immediate need. We’ll wait on DL in this deep class until later the later rounds to help our aging and under preforming pass rush. In the meantime, we’ll bring in a smooth athlete with a mean streak who knows how to tackle and will hold his own against the increasingly dangerous NFC North WRs.

With 24th pick of the 2025 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select: Kelvin Banks jr OL, from the University of Texas.

 

The J.J. McCarthy Era has begun in Minnesota, and while Christian Darrisaw should be able to return and play left tackle for them, it's never a bad idea to have options. Kelvin Banks, Jr., could compete at left guard right away for the Vikings while possibly becoming the future right tackle with Brian O'Neill entering his 30s.

One of three things happened:

 

1. Logic drafted the same player by accident.

2. Virgil made a mistake

3. HappyDays took back his pick and drafted someone else and Virgil did not update.

 

Too lazy to check back to find out.

With 25th pick of the 2025 NFL draft, the Houston Texans select: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State.  The Texans have a big need at offensive line to protect CJ Stroud.  Simmons would likely have been the top OT off the board if not for his kneed injury last fall.  Assuming his medicals are clean, this is a great value and need match for the Texans.  The Rams @Alphadawg7 are now on the clock.

With the 26th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select:  Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

Rams had other plans here at 26 not expecting Dart to still be on the board.  But the beauty of the draft is in its unpredictability, and with Dart sitting here as the potential heir to Stafford, the opportunity to select him and let him sit and learn from one of the best to ever put on a Rams uniform was just too much to pass up.  We love the combination of size and athletic ability that really makes him a modern dual threat type QB.  Dart is coming off a college career full of eye popping performances, and we have admired his evolution from raw talent freshman to polished senior where he maintained his aggressive play style while reducing mistakes and turnover-worthy plays.  We believe having the time to prepare and develop by learning from a pro like Stafford is only going to increase his potential and ability to reach it, and we couldn't be more excited for his future here with the Rams.

I really don't expect Dart to be on the board in the real draft when the Rams pick, honestly can't see how ever gets past the Steelers if he even makes it that far.  But, if he is there like he was in this mock when the Rams are on the clock, I cant imagine they would pass him up given Stafford is really only there one more season for sure and he would be a great person for Dart to sit behind and learn from as Stafford excels at some of the areas Dart still needs to improve at the next level.

I think the Steelers will take a QB next year when the draft is in Pittsburgh.  The Steelers are stockpiling picks for next year, likely to trade up in a better QB draft.  I think the Steelers likely take a WR or OL this year to bolster their team around a rookie next year.
