Good pick. And intriguing how far Sanders falls now. He should make it to the Saints at 9. And if they pass it could be a deep drop. Seattle at 18? Pittsburgh at 21? Rams at 26? Those being the most likely IMO.

I've seen some say that Jaxson Dart might go before him.  I'll believe it when I see it  but they say he's got a lousy attitude and I'm sure daddy and his big mouth are something they don't want to deal with

With the 8th pick in the TSW 1.0 Mock draft, the Carolina Panthers select Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M.

GM-The Panthers will likely try to trade down in this spot, particularly if Jeanty and Sanders are still on the board. Stewart is possibly the most athletic edge prospect in the draft. He’s a potential bust or boom. With a big need at this position the Panthers take a shot.

With the 9th pick the New Orleans Saints select Shadeur Sanders, QB, Colorado. We thought about Dart here. The room was split as to which QB but we went with the most accurate passer. We loved Teddy Bridgewater when he was here and we take the upgraded version.

With the 10th pick of the 2025 TSW Mock Draft version 1.0, the Chicago Bears select:

Ashton Jeanty, Running Back, Boise State

If the board falls as it did here I honestly think the Bears pick comes down to Will Campbell or Ashton Jeanty. The thing that doesn't get discussed enough about offensive mastermind Ben Johnson is how similar he is to Greg Roman, in the sense that I think the real creativity in his offense is in the run game moreso than the passing game. So you better give him a high end talent at the running back position to help execute that. I doubt he believes that is D'Andre Swift who he was happy to see traded away while he was the OC in Detroit. And in a weak upper end of the first round this year it guarantees the Bears end up with one of the few, genuine, upper first round graded talents. It eventually comes down to Jeanty is just a better football player than Campbell.

The San Francisco 49ers and @H2o are now on the clock.

With the 11th pick in the 2025 NFL draft....the San Francisco 49ers select......

Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

We could have gone many directions. We could have gone DL, but it's a deep DL draft. We could have gone WR, but we can wait on that as well. OL, we can get another swing OT later as well. We have 5 more picks in the first 138 selections. There aren't too many top notch CB prospects in this draft though, and we lost Charvarius Ward in FA. Barron is a do-it-all CB who can line up on the boundary, in the slot, or even play Safety. He will be a Swiss army knife for Robert Saleh in our defense. He has great instincts, takes good angles, and gets takeaways. Even in the step up against SEC competition this year, he shined.

Spreadsheet is updated.  Looking like there will be a nice group of players to select from for the Bills.

I will fix the formatting when I get a chance to sit in front of a computer.

Biggest "Reaches" so far are Ebuka at 6 (22 spots higher than ranking) and Barron (24 spots higher).

Too early for best values

No real trends either 5 offense, 5 defense, and 1 2 way player.

With the 12th pick in the TSW 1.0 Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Matthew Golden, WR, Texas.

GM - Most would be scared off by some of the character concerns for Golden, but that's what good old Jerry is for, leaps of crazy faith.  Golden is a matchup nightmare opposite of Lamb, and we need to make Dak happy beyond his 60 mil per year contract.  Why have a defense when you can just outscore everyone?  The Cowboy way is in full effect!

I wonder if I scraped some old data (I used cbs).  Looking through in January he was projected as a late first early second rounder.

PFF had him 28th in January and now 7th.

CBS had him 56th and now 35th

It looks like he lives as the 3rd or 4th ranked CB according to most sites.

Don't tease us lol

What does your top 5 or 10 look like?

So there is really a top 4 for me that are guys who would be top 15 players in any draft: 1. Travis Hunter; 2. Abdul Carter; 3. Mason Graham; 4. Ashton Jeanty. Hunter and Carter are top 10 grades, Graham and Jeanty are top 15 (i.e. top half of round 1 grades).

I then have 4 mid-firsts: 5. Jahdae Barron; 6. Kelvin Banks Jnr; 7. Malaki Starks; 8. Tet McMillan.

The rest of my firsts are all late 1st rounders. I have 14 or 15 total. There is one I have been back and forth on and need to find some more film.

Wow does this make it one of the worst drafts since you started grading?  Having 22 or 23 first rounders is somewhere around normal but to see so many late firsts is striking.

With the 6th pick of the 2025 NFL draft the Oak...uh ..Los Ange...er...LAS VEGAS RAIDERS SELECT:

Emeka Egbuka, WR, THE Ohio State.

There were so many picks here I could have made. The Raider roster is just that void of talent. Had this been a draft with trades I would have included myself in the growing list of teams willing to trade out!

Ashton Jeanty was strongly considered and knowing how Pete Carroll loves running the ball, it wouldn't shock me if he is the pick here. However if I'm picking a RB in the top 10, he better be legitimately 'generational'. Jeanty is in the very good to potentially great category just below that IMO. Finding a RB can wait in this draft. It's deep. A WR? Now there's some value.

Sanders here would make some sense as well, however I hate the destination for a player with maturity concerns. And I'm not convinced there isn't a QB that can be had later or next season that has just as much upside

And while personally I like other WRs more than Egbuka, namely Golden and McMillan, I see a Temu DK Metcalf/JSN hybrid with Egbuka. Something I think Carroll won't pass on if WR is the pick. Is 6 a reach for him? Absolutely. But no franchise has the reputation of reaching for players that the Raiders do...no matter who is making the pick.

The Jersey Jets and @DJBare on the clock.

However with how often their fans cling to that Super Bowl III win, we are unsure if they can tell time.😂😂😂

Emeka isn't very likely to go top 10, this would be like when they took Clelin Ferrel 4th overall...and they don't have those kinds of people in their war room now.  I do very much think Jeanty is in play or someone in the trenches.  But I would be stunned if it was Emeka.  And I know its the "Raiders", but they got real people in charge now not Gruden and a mock drafter at GM like they did when they took Ferrel, who was such a reach Gruden said pre draft they were going to surprise some people at #4.

I think it is one of the thinnest tops of a draft I have seen. But actually the sort of second tier - between late 1st and mid 2nd - and the 3rd tier between mid second and early 3rd are pretty deep. It then thins out a bit again by my grades in mid to late 3rd before a deeper round 4 group. It is one of the oddest looking boards I've had visually, it kind of goes:

i

iiiiiiiii

iiiiiiiii

iiii

iiiiiiii

Should say my average 1st round grades is about 19/20 so I'm a little below the consensus average. It is more 1st round grades than the 11 I had two years ago, but the difference then was I had 6 or 7 top 15 types. It was after that it thinned out a bit. I think this draft is overall stronger than that one. 2023 was not a great draft beyond the top 10 or so.

I'm not sure I agree there. Ferrel was seen as a late first / second round pick. Egbuka has been mocked across the board. He is probably the most talented WR in the draft with Tet being the most athletic. The recent interview of Tet saying he doesn't really watch football or film is concerning. Egbuka in the top 10 wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I love Egbuka as a floor player but he’s not going top 10. Right now if any WR is going there it’s Matthew Golden
