Would all of you think it is possible that the commanders trade out of there spot with the bills they get cook we swap picks and get there 3 plus 2026 4th Commanders have only 5 picks. They have already spewed a lot of 2025 and a fair amount of 2026 draft capital to get win-now pieces. If anything the sense is that they'd be looking to trade down from 29 to try to replenish some picks. 1 Quote

TheWeatherMan Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago This might be the most unrealistic mock completed by the TBDMB. Browns, Giants, Jets and Raiders all passing up on the #2 QB prospect? The only chance the Browns have of competing is to draft a potential franchise QB. They are in Cap hell for at least the next 2-3 years, cant get out from under Watsons awful contract and can’t afford to trade for/sign a competent veteran QB. Only chance that coaching staff keeping their jobs is to draft a QB and with Sanders sitting there they have no option but to draft him. Giants are taking a QB if one of the top 3 are available. Daboll is on his last strike and no way is he hedging his bets on Russell washed up Wilson. I could see the Jets trading up for Sanders if the Browns want to trade down for Dart. They are a QB (and competent coaching) away from being a good team loaded with young talent. Quote

I've seen many value him as a late 1st round pick. Granted, this is the month where you can't believe anything a GM says, but I think the Titans and Browns not doing their due diligence on Sanders says a lot. If he falls out of the top 10, I would not be surprised. Quote

KS is not under big pressure and the Giants like Ward. They didn’t bring in Wilson to sit. Could they take QB’s later in first via trade or 2nd round? Sure. Quote

Since the 2018 (wrong Josh) draft, there have been at least 3 QBs drafted in the top 15 of every draft except 2022 (0) which was arguably the worst QB prospect year ever. I’ll go with the historical data on this and say Ward, Sanders and Dart all go top 15. 1 Quote

Wilson signed a 1 year $10M contract (22nd among QBs) with the Giants, that’s not that far from backup QB money (Mariota $8M). Sanders isn’t good? His stats indicate otherwise. 2024: 74% on completions (highest of all QBs who threw more than 100 passes), 4,134 yards (4th highest) 37TDs (2nd highest), 10Ints and a RTG of 168.2 (4th highest). Giants are taking one of the 3QBs, I’m convinced. No way Daboll is gambling his HC career on Crablegs and Russell “hasn’t done anything since 2021” Wilson. Quote

When they had just signed one of them I would have said, absolutley, the Giants are taking a Quarterback. But generally when teams without one bring in two vets with a lot of starting experience it indicates Quarterback competition. I wouldn't be stunned if they took Sanders, but honestly I lean towards they won't now. I think what is influencing people a bit in this class is there are only two elite level prospects - Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter. And I think both the Giants and the Browns are likely thinking that taking a slam dunk there is the way to go. I'e had each of them going QB in my mocks. Browns in v1.0 and then Giants in v2.0. But right now today I think I lean towards them both passing. Still 3 weeks to go though I could easily swing back. Quote

I'm not hitching my wagon to Sanders that early And I know XYZ can say ABC about him.. the best training, groomed by Brady, accurate athletic etc I don't doubt his physical talent I'm not sure what his will to win is... I might be in the slight minority.. but I'm not the only scout who thinks he's been protecting his stats the last two seasons His talent is for the modern NFL and a good blend of traits... I just think he'd rather throw it for four yards on third and nine instead of pushing it past the sticks too much... I've seen him run out of bounds on third down behind the line of scrimmage To me that screams protecting stats because he knows he's going to go in the top 10 Edited 13 hours ago by Buffalo716 1 Quote

Vegas sees it that way too. I also don’t think it would be shocking if Jaxson Dart goes before him. I almost had the guts to do that here with the Saints. The Browns are taking Carter and Giants Hunter. They’re just much better players than Sanders. 1 Quote

My argument is based on historics, teams reach for QBs because it’s the most important position on the football field…by far. I believe you’re right, there’s players more talented than all 3 of the top QBs, but I just don’t see 5+ QB desperate teams passing up on Sanders or Dart. You could argue that a team like the Browns or Giants plan to tank for Arch, but their offseason moves seem to contradict that ideology. My guess is QBs will be selected at picks 1, 2 and 9. Virgil Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago The Buffalo Bills selected Trey Amos, DB, Ole Miss. Please refer to the poll thread for an insight into the war room. The Chiefs already picked. The Eagles @Draconator are on the clock 1 Quote

Historicals though depend on the specific talent available not the position. Sanders comp has been Teddy Bridgewater. He went 32. Dart and Sanders specifically, are being pushed up the board in an underwhelming QB class. If this class had Allen/Darnold/Baker no one would be considering Sanders in the top 3. He’s not a top 3 overall player and has a limited ceiling. He’s an accurate and experienced QB prospect with a limited ceiling. If he works out, he could be Purdy. Is that just “better than what you have” or is it “good enough to win a championship?” Veteran QBs are moving around now these days. If the Giants, get Hunter, and he’s great, they can spend next year trying to land Aaron Rodgers or Matt Stafford or someone like that to play for a couple of years. Teams are starting to realize that if you have a Tua/Purdy type of guy it puts you in a bind. You end up paying them and gutting your roster (see SF). If people saw Sanders as potentially Herbert, they’d draft him top 3. Seeing him as potentially Tua, isn’t worth it when there are 2 elite players available in Carter and Hunter. I don’t think Sanders deserves to go top 5, but I think he will. Quote
Draconator Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago With the 32nd pick in the NFL/TSW Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select, Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss. The Eagles proved how to win Super Bowls, with a stellar Defensive Line/pass rush. Nolen will add to that process with his explosive first step in getting to the quarterback. This ends the first round. Round 2 and the Cleveland Browns are on the clock. 2 Quote
