I'm guessing that is was Kevin Winston Jr from Penn State that was actually "drafted"

Hi Everyone and a welcome to the TSW Mock Draft 1.0 sign-up thread.  Not many changes to the format this year, but the rules and expectations are as follows:

Mock 1.0 is 3 rounds and no trades allowed.  Future mocks will have different rules.  2.0 will have trades, 2 rounds, and will start a few days after 1.0 is completed.  3.0 will also have trades and be at least one round starting on the week of the actual draft.

The Bills selection will be done by a survey of the BPA’s at the time.

The Draft will begin once all 32 owners have been found.  If that does not occur until after 7p est on 4/1/25, then the draft will begin at 9a on 4/2.

Owners - To volunteer to serve as a team GM, you need to:

·       Be in good standing on this site (daily activity, account history, etc)

·       Reply in this thread with the top 3 teams you want to manage (only listing one will be ignored)

·       Be prepared to keep up with your picks (3 hour window between picks)

·       Be prepared to follow the posting guidelines when it’s your pick (failure to do so might lead to your exclusion to participating in future mocks)

Volunteers:

If someone has the time, it would be great to have someone make a google sheets docs to show best available by ranking.  If interested, please comment below.

·       Every owner has 3 hours to make their pick

·       When you pick, you must use the following format

·       When you pick, please give a few sentence summary as to why you made the pick you did.  The more commentary and ownership, the better the experience.

Bills trade 2026 2nd to Jags for pick 70. ...ok maybe 88. We need a 3rd. The lynch pin to our draft success is made here.

Trades are in subsequent drafts. This mock is a no trade draft.

I can definitely understand that point of view, but if we came out of the first two rounds with Amos, Watts, and Farmer, I'd actually be pretty happy! Would rather go with a premium d-lineman first, but Watts is a playmaker and I know the Bills really seem interested in Farmer quite a bit in real life, so...I couldn't complain much.

I'm not sure how much better we could have done, addressed CB, S and DL

For me the question is...Can they draft a DB or safety and have him play NOW, vs perhaps a Grant /Harmon/ Nolen?

With the 68th pick in the draft the Raiders select:

Wyatt Milum, OT, West Virginia

We like Milum's toughness and strength. Seems to be fundamentally sound. Only issue we have with him is arm length, so the plan is to kick him inside to guard and let him shine.

The Patriots and @section122are on the clock

It’s important to ensure you’ve got a 3rd round pick next year so that you can use it to trade for a player mid-season at a position you didn’t fill in the first round of the previous year’s draft on account of trading down to recoup the third round pick you traded away mid-season the year before.

I feel like Amos is the plug and play guy who may be available to them. There are some interesting athletic upside with guys like Porter but he’s raw. So do you draft traits or you looking for an instant starter. I don’t really know what the answer is, but that’s why I wish they would do something a bit more than Dane Jackson opposite Benford.

Also Hairston, he’s the other guy who is probably plug and play and maybe there at 30.

The Bills are not using one of their first three picks on a safety, after drafting Cole Bishop (who’s barely had a chance to play) in round 2 last year.  It simply is not going to happen.
