TSW Mock 1.0 - Completed

Sorry folks I sent @Virgil some options for packers at #87 as I wasn’t sure if I’d make it on time. I don’t mind the pick @scuba guyThat gives us our CB, DL and WR. 
 

Was thinking Felton or Stewart there originally

With the 88th pick in the TSW NFL mock draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Vernon Broughton, DT, Texas. 
 

Broughton has pass rush skills that can help provide pressure up the middle.

The Jags are happy with their first 2 picks but felt forced into reaching on the next 2 given how the board fell. The Jags have ample ammunition and excellent pick position to wheel and deal when trades are actually considered. They should be able to fill their needs and make solid picks come draft day(s).

With the 89th pick, the Houston Texans select Jordan Phillips, DT, Maryland.  A sneaky need for the Texans this year is DT.  Tim Settle is currently one of their starters.  While their Ends are elite, the Texans here grab someone who can help the run, and potentially occuppy blockers on the passing downs.  Despite - sacks in 2 years at MD, Phillips had 26 pressures and 31 run stops.  He is 20 years old, on Bruce Feldman's "Freak List" and dominated the Shrine Bowl practice week.  

 

The Texans are very happy with this draft.  Adding 2 OL, a WR, and DT.

I would just like to point out that @Alphadawg7 missing his pick after waiting so patiently for it to finally come around again might be the funniest thing of the week if it were to happen.

I'm sure it won't. I'm betting he's just knee-deep in meticulous research.

The LA Rams select Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa St

 

GM - This being a no trade draft hurt us, as we would have liked to trade up before the recent run on offensive lineman.  With needs at DB and LB as well, but no value, we went for the BPA and a position of need in WR with Noel.

LMAO...just finally was able to come back to this, of course my pick finally came around during a period I wasn't available and busy with work.

And yeah no trade hurt the Rams as I think there were opportunities to trade down in the first as well as trade up on days 2 and 3.

For what it's worth, I do think Noel is a nice pick for the Rams.

Nacua, Adams, Noel, Whittington, Atwell is a nice little WR corps.

The ravens select Kaleb Johnson, RB Iowa.  
 

as a bills fan scouting draft prospect in 2025, I haven’t put a minute of time into the OL.  I may have gone OG if I knew anything about these guys, but I don’t.  Zy Alexander would’ve been my pick based on need but I’m going with BPA and scheme fit.  Savion was a thought ans well.  
 

 

This allows us to move on from Henry if he wants big bucks after this season, his age 31 season.  Or keep both and batter everyone to death.  We’re confidant Johnson will eventually be top 5 back if he were the bell cow

I honestly was going to make the same pick...the value wasn't good anywhere else that made sense to the Rams other than WR and maybe one DB.  But I felt like the WR options made more sense and he was one of 3 I was looking at and he was in the pole position.  Saxion wasn't sure fit their mold with his stone hands despite his freak athleticism and Restrepo I felt was too early here.  

 

So honestly was very likely making the same pick, so you picking him had no dispute from me.

Yeah, just fell in a period where I couldn't get away...funny and no biggie.  And I was very likely making the exact same pick.  Guys I thought would be there at other positions were gone.  I was actually eyeing Arroyo or Fannin at TE earlier in this round, but both were gone by their pick.

After adding Benjamin Morrison in round two, coach Mike McDonald wanted to continue to add youth and toughness to his secondary. Enter Jaylen Reed.

 

A two year starter at Penn State, Reed was a tone setter with his physicality and tackling. He has positional versatility, and we believe he can compete to start or, at the very least, become a versatile depth and sub package player.

 

In this draft, we added two playmakers in WR Tetaroia McMillain and CB Benjamin Morrison, fortified our o-line with RG Jonah Savaiinaea and C Jared Wilson, and now we grab a hard hitting safety to keep the tradition of great secondary play alive in Seattle. We’re thrilled with this year’s haul thus far.

With the 93rd pick, the New Orleans Saints select, Savion Williams, WR, TCU. We have our QB, and someone to protect him, now we get someone to catch balls from him. We take the physical freak in Savion Williams to be a big target to help Shadeur jumpstart his career. We’ve done well with the versatile, 35 year-old, Taysom Hill. Now we add another former QB with similar traits that can fill that role moving forward as Taysom is in his last season. We are thrilled to add him to the team.

We had to double check the draft board a few times to make sure this guy was actually still available. He’s accepted an invite to the draft this year, so it remains to be seen whether he’ll last this long in real life.

 

Once upon a time, the Seahawks signed a veteran QB with average arm strength and then drafted an athletic rookie QB in the third round who wound up winning the starting job and never relinquishing it. Will history repeat?
 

While Milroe undoubtedly needs some time to learn the pro game and work on his accuracy and processing, we have Sam Darnold under contract for the next two years, and thus can afford him that time.
