gonzo1105 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With the 78th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, The Arizona Cardinals select: Cameron Williams OT/OG University of Texas I am much higher in Cameron Williams than a lot of people, listing him even slightly ahead of highly regarded teammate Kelvin Banks. I have him as a high 2nd round pick and believe his size/arm length combo combine with his significant drop in weight leads to enormous upside. The Cardinals will start him at Guard and could possibly move him to Right Tackle in the future. Cards draft is done: James Pearce Mike Green Cameron Williams Focused in the trenches but I will even admit this is a very boom or bust draft for the Cardinals. The upside is enormous with these 3 players and Pearce and Green combined with Sweat should at the very least help an abysmal pass rush become much better and Williams can fill a significant hole at Guard in year 1. 1 Quote

That's another great pick. I disagree with you on Banks as you know but I like Williams a fair amount too. He is in my top 50. 1 Quote

My debate was with Williams before drafting Taylor but I had already drafted a tackle that may need to kick inside so I didn't want to double up with that. Quote

RyanC883 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) With the 79th pick, the Houston Texans select Anthony Belton, OL, North Carolina State. @CNYfan and the Colts are on the Clock. After getting a OL in the first, and WR in the 2nd, and noting the depth left at DT, the Texans go back to the OL to provide additional protection for CJ Stroud. A big dude at 6'6, 336, Belton is surprisingly more advanced at pass protection than run blocking at this point. The Texans look forward to having him compete at either OT or Guard to shore up their line, and he provides instant pass protection while working on run blocking technique. CNYfan Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With the 80th Pick of the TSW Mock Draft #1 The Indianapolis Colts select Elijah Arroyo TE Miami Hurricanes The owner wanted the Taylor prospect, but the football people are extremely happy that at last they could pick up an elite Tight End for the offense. The Bengals and @HappyDays are on the clock 3 Quote
HappyDays Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With the 81st pick, the Bengals select Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M. Seattle @Logic is on the clock. Turner has impressive physical traits, but he needs some technical refinement. His first step quickness and high motor give him a very solid floor. He'll be a 3T for us and spend his rookie year rotating in behind BJ Hill, who can be cut after this season. We drafted DT Kris Jenkins in the 2nd last year but we have no qualms about loading up on DL and finding a way to get everyone involved. Turner in our eyes should have been drafted sooner so this is a true BPA pick. I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't address the secondary at all with any of my early picks, but the value never matched up properly. But we badly needed help in the trenches on both sides of the ball so I can't be too disappointed coming away with one OL and two DL. 1 Quote
Logic Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) With the 82nd pick in the 2025 TSW Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Jared Wilson, C, Georgia We entered the draft needing to rehaul our entire interior offensive line. We got off to a great start earlier with Jonah Savaiinaea, and now we add a player that we believe can compete in year one for the starting center position in Jared Wilson. While he was only a one year starter at Georgia, Jared Wilson has athletic gifts and movement skills that you can't teach. We believe some time in a professional strength and conditioning program will do wonders to help with any anchoring deficiencies he has, but his athleticism should make him a perfect fit for the zone run scheme we'll be operating under new OC Klint Kubiak. We had Wilson ranked 75th on our big board, so aside from liking the player and the position, we felt the value was spot on, too. @frostbitmic and the Pittsburgh Aaron Rodgers' ***** are now on the clock. frostbitmic Posted April 7 Posted April 7 As the GM of the Pittsburgh Steelers I reject any notion of A A Ron Rodgers becoming a Steeler, he's just not Yinzer material, then again .... We do have Mason Rudolph 👀 With the 83rd pick in the TSW Mock Draft #1 THE Pittsburgh Steelers select Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky With Cam Heyward being 35 years old it's time to look to the future. Cam will be a great mentor to the mountain we call Deone. With our Secondary, teams will need to run the ball and they'll run right into our new 6'6" 345 pound wall. I think we'll line him up next to TJ Watt. Nick Emmanwori -S DK Metcalf - WR Deone Walker - DT @Bill from NYC and his Bucs are on the clock. 4 Quote
Bill from NYC Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With the 84th selection, The Tampa Bay Bucs happily and proudly select Malachai Moore- Safety - (you read that right lol, Safety) from the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. I have seen every game he has ever played in and I am sure that he is vastly underrated. Is there any risk? Yes. He is not huge and has been injured a couple of times. That said, he is always around the football. He has very good hands to intercept passes, is great in coverage, and sneaks in on the blitz. One draft site says that he is weak against the run, and I'm calling b.s. As I said, he gets to the football. @warrior9and the Broncos are on the clock. 2 Quote
Richard Noggin Posted April 8 Posted April 8 12 hours ago, GunnerBill said: That is true but he played SS at Houston and gave up two touchdowns - one in the pass game and one in the run game - and he played SS in the AFCCG too and was bad. I know I sound like I am not cutting him slack, I am, I understand the injury out him behind the 8 ball and then he had a stop - start year of playing a bit as a backup and then sitting and then playing etc... and his run support did get a bit better as the season went on. But honestly he was pretty awful. Like the worst player the Bills put out there all year at any spot other than Nicholas Morrow. And I say that as someone who quite liked the selection. I was really, really disappointed in him. He would need a BIG step forward this offseason to win the job IMO. And then an even bigger one to be an above average starter. It can happen, I am rooting for it to happen, but I think there is definitely a world in which he spends 2025 as a backup too. He picked off Mahomes to be fair. Never mind they got the call wrong. But yeah he had some rough snaps throughout the season. Quote

Putting him in a majority off-coverage system was just a total waste. Not sure he'll ever be great at man-press either, but he at least has a chance that way. 1 1 Quote

But the other side of that is if your scheme isn't working, genuinely change it and make use of the skill set a player has to offer. Don't know what that bodes for CB, but I'm hoping they add some ballast on the DL. 1 Quote

This is probably a tad early, I think he is more early day 3... but he does have a chance to sneak into the back end of day 2. He is my 101st player by my board. A pocket size version of Brian Branch who I loved a couple of years ago when he came out. I suspect like Branch he ends up a nickel corner rather than a safety in the NFL. But someone is gonna be really pleased they picked him a couple of years from now. 1 Quote
