Oh god this again.

The only thing more boring than all the talk about this average player is the faux outrage about the tush push from the attention whores in the nfl media.

I know, right?  How hard is it to spell Ertz ?

He was a sack of beans before the injury having a terrible season

We didn't know that last off-season and the 49ers apparently didn't either.  Didn't count on him being rusty "holding in" during training camp.

I was just clarifying what the other poster was referring to when he called him that.

It sure is, I never understood why teams pay mediocre QBs so much money with no hope in hell that they will help the team progress, I understand that there is only ten or so good QBs in the league at any point in time but god do the over pay for those slouches,

They made 2 conference championships and a Super Bowl with Brock.

I wouldn’t pay Brock but they whiffed so bad on Lance, it’s not hard to see why they are strongly considering rolling with him.

That plus Shanny’s ego of his system probably makes him believe in these guys more than the market would.

If he performs really well, he won’t be available.

That's fine...they are the ones taking that risk right now, not us.

He has been available perpetually since early last season, before the injury, which may not have happened if he had been in football shape after his 'holdout'

The only way a trade happens is if the 49'ers pay a substantial amount of his contract and do not want almost anything for him. That is how it works when you try to unload a player like this, who may never be the same.

The Bills should take a flyer on him if they can pay him close to the league minimum and if the price is no more than a 4th round pick. Then, worth the risk.

Go Beane!

Love the irony.  Not that I think Aiyuk is a bad WR but I thought he was overpaid with that contract before he got injured.

FWIW, I wouldn't have signed either one of them. But I have no control over what the team does so all I can do is support them and hope for the best.
