Thank you Josh, Pegulas and McBeane That's more a function of Beane offering all of his good draft picks early extensions. You will always get a player below their theoretical market value if you give them a contract one year before they hit FA. As a strategy it's hit and miss. Sometimes you wind up with an albatross like Knox's contract, but sometimes you end up with a massive steal like Spencer Brown's contract. I lean towards Benford's looking like a massive steal in two years. 11 2 1 Quote

The last guy who carried on like that got traded for a 2nd rounder this year. I’m not saying it will happen but Cook to LV or Dallas for a 2nd would not shock me 🤷🏻♂️.. strong RB draft. Gives Bills 3 2nd rounders one of which they use on a home run threat RB ? Call me crazy but? 4 1 1 Quote

But if you hit on the rookie RB you carve out some much needed cap space. 2 Quote

Process Posted Saturday at 05:23 PM Posted Saturday at 05:23 PM That puts him outside the top 10 highest paid CBs. What an absolute steal. Credit to Beane. And credit to CB, going from a 6th round pick to $76M three years later. Great deal all around 1 1 1 Quote
Chugga Posted Saturday at 05:23 PM Posted Saturday at 05:23 PM That is a crazy good deal on an elite corner. Especially seeing where impact defensive player contracts are going. I’m shocked that number wasn’t closer to 4 years 100-110. Absolutely mind blowing he got the deal that low Quote

Maynard Posted Saturday at 05:23 PM Posted Saturday at 05:23 PM (edited) Bravo Beano! Horn got 30 per year and Benford is better. Helluva steal at 19 per. Edited Saturday at 05:24 PM by Maynard 2 Quote
wppete Posted Saturday at 05:32 PM Posted Saturday at 05:32 PM Great deal for the Bills and smart move for Benford. Continue to develop under McDermott defense and in 4 years he will have a massive contract. Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted Saturday at 05:41 PM Posted Saturday at 05:41 PM Solid deal for us. if Hamlin didn’t spearhead Benford in KC, we’d have a SB appearance under our belt Go sign Rasul to a reasonable 1 year deal and we can focus on drafting DL / WR early A couple S and CB in Rounds 4-6 Quote
Steptide Posted Saturday at 05:44 PM Posted Saturday at 05:44 PM It's utterly shocking how beane has gotten all these guys over the years to work for less money than they could get. I say that as a good thing. Those guys must really have a bond Quote

What do you think he would give? Near what he wants. I really do. I think the point being made is Shut up and I’ll pay you. Beane has knocked down EVERY contract with ease and let’s be honest, hometown discounts. All of them. What Bill has gotten away for big money?? There’s no way we want to go into OUR BEST CHANCE at a Super Bowl of the Allen era (again.. for like the third time- 2022,,..) without Cook’s weaponry. He’s an asset on the field and that can’t be argued against. Of course we want him here. Look at our receivers.. 1 Quote
