I think Dan deardorf was on mnf a minute and kinda bad. Beth mowans and booger MacFarland are also awful.

Yeah both were bad choices due to their inability to leave politics behind on a sports program. 
 

I liked Deirdorf but that mighta just been because I was a kid and he was there with Al and Frank.

Yeah.  He said McNabb wasn't as good as the media made him out to be because of their desire for a black QB to do well.  McNabb later said it bothered him and Limbaugh resigned.  Not the smartest decision to bring political commentators or comedians in on a sports show/broadcast.

Dennis Miller was a fun listen and interesting but not for football. Did he have a gaffe too? I don't remember.

No.  His type of humor just didn't have wide spread appeal with his bizarre references.  He'd say stuff like "I haven't seen a surprise play like that since Gorbachev convinced the politburo to put a Pizza Hut in Red Square."

JJ seems like a good dude but I think he’s a try hard who wants everyone know how good of a guy he is. 
 

im also in the minority and really never cared who calls the game. I’m either at the game; watching it out; or with friends/ family so I rarely listen to what the commentary is. In fact, I actually found the SpongeBob telecast more entertaining.
