His defense has continually **** the bed in playoffs and Terry's patience will eventually run out if that doesn't change. 1 Quote

Sooner or later we got to ***** or get off the pot with Sean; had we fired him after 13 seconds and hired Daboll on the spot, I think we still win the division every year and beat the 7 seed in the playoffs. 23 minutes ago, uticaclub said: Even if we go 2-15 the year after Allen retires without a Super Bowl appearance. It may not be a firing... but an agreement... I wish he didn't own the Sabres because his absolute failure at hiring GM's and head coaches makes him think at least I've got a good floor with McDermott and Beane. If Terry were to clean house, then I don't trust him either get the next FO hires right. But if he fired McDermott only then it would be Beane leading the search for the next HC. Beane has never had an opportunity to do that as McDermott was here first. Quote

If he thinks Beane has done a good job with the roster, but McDermott isn't getting the most out of the roster then that would probably do it. Same would apply to Beane as well. I don't think either one of them is getting fired anytime soon. 1 Quote

That's fair but I think it would take at least two losing seasons (or one abhorrent) for Pegula to ever consider making that move imo. Pegula growing up a Steelers fan where they've had like three head coaches since the fall of the Roman Empire makes me think he'd be extremely hesitant to fire McDermott. Also, he just had Adams hire Ruff and that's not going so well right now. 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted Friday at 01:39 AM Posted Friday at 01:39 AM It seems like a good plan to have a solid one year option, who actually played not bad last year, and Winston as a capable backup. They still have the #3 pick so they can still have their QB of the future, and be groomed for a year. It’s a fair plan considering the QB selection in the draft coupled with an ok year (winning 7-9 games) could save these two. They get crushed again and they are gone. I like these two guys, and don’t want to see them get fired. Quote

They have won their division 5 years in a row (made the playoffs in 6 consecutive seasons), been to two AFC championship games, and won a playoff game in the last 5 seasons. McDermott would be unemployed for about 10 mins if they let him go. Beane too. Fans wanting to move on are crazy given how Pegulas hirings have gone in the hockey department... 12 hours ago, The Firebaugh Kid said: Watching these terrible teams sign these terrible retread quarterbacks is actually depressing as hell to watch. Retain individuals you believe are the best, not simply because Arizona might hire them. Quote
