I have to imagine they didn't let Jameis know as prevailing thought was he'd be the consolation prize for the team that didn't get Rodgers or Wilson. Atlanta must be thrilled. The situation definitely makes someone meeting their price for Cousins more likely. Maybe I’m missing someone, but who is going to give up anything for Cousins unless there is an injury? 4 minutes ago, chris heff said: But why sign Winston and Wilson if you’re going to draft Sanders? Why sign Russ period? Quote

Billy Claude Posted Wednesday at 12:06 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:06 AM This means that Rodgers has the Steelers over a barrel. I haven't heard anything about them being interested in Cousins. Quote

Their only hope now is to get a top QB in the draft and get him ready. Or, 2-14? Wilson is done, has been for a while, of course. Singing Wilson and Winston do open the opportunity that they are passing on QB (Sanders) at 3. All the master plan to tank for Arch Manning next year to bring back the good times. Were looking through the crystal ball here, people. Quote

Aaron Rodgers preferred destination is the Vikings. They've yet to name JJ McCarthy their starting QB and have yet to close the door on Rodgers. If Rodgers ends up with the Vikings like he wishes, the Steelers are nowhere. Possible Rodgers ends up with the Steelers and the Vikings just roll with McCarthy. But with the team they have in place and what they were able to do last year with Darnold, they may not want to roll the dice on a Rookie who didn't play a down last season with nothing but Brett Rypein behind him. billsfan89 Posted Wednesday at 12:38 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:38 AM Seems like a "fine" move to get a stable vet in there. Not gonna light the world on fire but you could do worse. Quote

Richard Noggin Posted Wednesday at 12:46 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:46 AM ONLY way Wilson can move the ball at this point is with moonballs down the field. He still throws the eff out of a fade. But that ain't the foundation of a healthy offense. More importantly, though, is that I NEED some Hard Knocks devoted to watching just Jameis and Russ together, and with Dabes. Just unreal contrasts. 1 Quote

HomeTeam Posted Wednesday at 01:05 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:05 AM Weird move. I honestly prefer Jameis Winston to Wilson. At least you know with Winston, his teammates will play hard for him. The whole Joe Shane/ BD regime has had one head scratching move after another. Quote

Either they have no plan or can't get anyone to take their money. 1 hour ago, chongli said: Hope he sucks so NYG can pick first and take Arch Manning in the draft. Out of conference. I'd rather tank for Manning. Tanking for Manning doesn't work for Schoen or Daboll who will be out on their a$$ with another rough year. Quote

That is a good point …signing Winston was such an uninspiring move I must have deleted it from my mind … Wonder if Beane will have his buddy Schoen back next year ? They both look totally out of their depth but I think ownership is a contributing factor. They've should have been rebuilding but were stuck trying to be competitive to save their jobs. Quote
Bill51390 Posted Wednesday at 01:19 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:19 AM Shoen and Daboll were put in a ***** position. Inherited Jones who’s terrible. They finally get their opportunity to get their QB and this draft is garbage for that. Quote

I haven't heard anything about them being interested in Cousins. Lol, no, I don't think he does! He is not in a position to have much leverage over anyone at this stage in his career. If Pittsburgh does not sign the nut, then where will he play?? So Pittsburgh holds the cards, in my view, as they will still be playing next year, a head case QB or not. But he may not ever play again if they don't sign him. Pittsburgh sucks at creating an offense, obviously, so he may end up there. But if Pittsburgh pins their hopes on a narcissistic head case, two years after the jets joyously (for Bills' fans) did so, someone stuck in the pocket, with nowhere to go but down and throw picks, then this will likely be Tomlin's last year in Pittsburgh. But I hope it happens--one less AFC team to be concerned about next year. Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted Wednesday at 01:58 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:58 AM If they draft him Wilson Winston and Sanders would be the most hysterically dysfunctional QB room in NFL history Quote
